NO POLITICS

As the unending political season begins - again - we're going to remind everyone that we do not allow discussions of politics or religion on Kingsfans.com for the obvious reasons. We manage to maintain a modicum of civility around here, which becomes nearly impossible when talking politics or religion. We tried it a couple of times and it always ends very badly.

For that reason, we're reminding everyone that discussions of politics will not be permitted. In addition, MOST controversial topics are off-limits. We're here to have a good time. We're Kings (and/or Monarchs fans) first and foremost. The really gritty topics are best discussed elsewhere.

Thanks to everyone for understanding.

NO POLITICS

As the unending political season begins - again - we're going to remind everyone that we do not allow discussions of politics or religion on Kingsfans.com for the obvious reasons.

And thank goodness. I have seen the gore and decimation wrought by such discussions in other forums. It was very, very painful. There are probably plenty of forums for such discussions out there without having it here. My experience is it usually ends up in name calling of the worst sort, drives people permanently away and no one is likely to change anyone's mind. There are no positives to it.

Yes, I do understand and have seen it for myself the destruction to boards [not the basketball kind! ;-) ] that those controversial issues generates.

You betcha! Turns a group of friends into enemies. Not necessary at all and very destructive. In part it is why I went AWOL.

There is no end of places to discuss these issues.

I resent that remark. There are good, decent people who post here, and not many knuckleheads as you say.
