[Game] VSL Game 5 (7/15/2023): Kings vs. Bucks NOW

Really nice comments by Bucks commentators on the Kings last season and growth as a team. Spent a good five minutes and were spot on in their comments. On Coach Brown, light the beam, series against W's, culture change, etc. Good stuff.

Nice to see the level of detail outsiders are paying attention to.

O'Connell was already hitting 50% of his threes in the first four games. Now he is 2-2 this afternoon. No assists, though.

Overall, the team is playing very good defense.

Slawson turning into a drive and dish machine now that he’s the only guy on the floor with an NBA contract.

This was a solid showing from the team today! Bout as good as you can play while also turning the ball over 21 times.
Given that we were only playing one point guard and fe the third option on a summer league team 21 turnovers is about as good as you can hope for a group college and G-League role players out there playing team ball. I couldn't have been happier. I'm really hoping there's enough room in Stockton for some of these guys quite honestly if the team wanted to try to put O'Connell on the regular roster as just an end of the bench shooter you kind of have to say it's worth a vet minimum contract

Jordan Ford deserves the 3rd 2-way contract. The Kings need that emergency PG simmering in Stockton (with some upside too) in case of injury.

Or sitting on the bench, in place of Dellavedova. He did spend all of last season with the Stockton Kings, as someone else pointed out. Give him another look in training camp.

I just wish he would shave his mutton chops. They give me the willies.

really encouraging game for Slawson, who apparently just needed us to sit all our good players in order to remember he’s good at basketball.
I hope everyone else has a working passport

Great to see this Slawson game. The poorest version of Draymond and that takes some real planning to use him right. Hopefully we can cater some sets for him In Stockton

I think the main thing for Slawson is just getting used to pro basketball speed and talent. The guy's got a bunch of unique tools but the jump from Division 2 college ball to the NBA is really big and Jalen's probably a little too smart for his own good and content to just sit plays out rather than force the issue and potential turn the ball over.
