Really impressed so far from what i have seen from Cousins, he has a great all around game and let us not forget he is only 19! With all the curse with recent drafted big men (blake griffin, greg oden, hasheem thabeet, etc.) Demarcus Cousins is a big bright spot on a good situation with the young but improving Kings team. Also Donte had a nice game as well, should be exciting to see Omri and him battle for the starting spot!

Cousins is impressing me. He has a much more complete game than I was thinking and I like the way he finds the cutting player down low. He has great vision and passing skills for a rookie big man.

I love what I see outta Cousins, last night I didn't like the outside jumpers and the over dribbling but against the Lakers I think he found the right mix. I really can't condemn the man for wanting to shoot the jumper either, he can clearly hit it out to college 3pt range. If he keeps proving he wants to be a monster on the glass, he can shoot whatever he wants.

Donte proved tonight how deadly he could be as well if he ever gets that 3pt shot down to an automatic he will give Reke 5 assists a game easy!

Kingster

No, he can't shoot whatever he wants (unless you were tongue and cheek with that remark). He's not going to draw fouls shooting outside, nor double teams. He's got to be the monster inside.

Westphal says that their looking to start either whiteside or dalembert alongside cousins...

Cousins at 4?

hmmm....
I can swallow this expecting that Cousins and Dalembert will be the top two BIGs in our team. I trust Westphal to be smarter than everyone in this board in answering the question of who plays C and PF.

Westphal did say they'd like to try having both on the floor at times, but also said Cousins would probably have a hard time guarding 4's, so the thought must be that Dalembert can.

I find it hard to believe PaulW said that Whiteside had a chance in hell at starting.
The conversation wasn't even about who would start. All Westphal said was that he would like to try out the Cousins/Whiteside and Cousins/Dalembert pairings, and that those combinations should be effective at shutting down the paint.
