Vote for Edna Campbell!

#2
I didn't see which moment was Edna's was close to, but if it's Cynthia Cooper's I can completely understand how it could be close. There's no way I could chose between either of those - both of them touched me very deeply. Maybe I'll find a way to vote twice ;)

The race is between Cooper and Edna. A tight race and a tough choice. I voted for Edna because I was there that night, and it's definitely a night that I won't forget. But both moments are completely deserving. That Coop one is a heartbreaker.

Right now Edna has the slight edge.

Yes, Cooper's story is very touching. But its the most "inspirational" moment. To me, Edna coming back from the ravages of cancer/treatment in her own body, to play professional level basketball was just incredible. Many people would never have believed it posssible.

It had to provide amazing hope and inspiration to people living with cancer as well as to their loved ones. Shoot, it had to be inspirational to anyone overcoming a devastating illness. My heart was broken when my best friend died of AIDS, but I didn't consider myself brave for carrying on. However, if my friend had managed to come back from the brink, rehabilitate and return to his normal life.......now that would have been awe-inspiring.

Of course, this is a very personal opinion. I have two very close friends who are cancer survivors and another friend who went trhough horrfic chemo for over a year for Hep C. All are an inspiration to me.
