Yes, Cooper's story is very touching. But its the most "inspirational" moment. To me, Edna coming back from the ravages of cancer/treatment in her own body, to play professional level basketball was just incredible. Many people would never have believed it posssible.
It had to provide amazing hope and inspiration to people living with cancer as well as to their loved ones. Shoot, it had to be inspirational to anyone overcoming a devastating illness. My heart was broken when my best friend died of AIDS, but I didn't consider myself brave for carrying on. However, if my friend had managed to come back from the brink, rehabilitate and return to his normal life.......now that would have been awe-inspiring.
Of course, this is a very personal opinion. I have two very close friends who are cancer survivors and another friend who went trhough horrfic chemo for over a year for Hep C. All are an inspiration to me.
