If you missed Webber's you HAVE to go to Vlade's. I'm not exagerating when I say that night was one of the most incredible nights in NBA basketball for me. There is no way I'm missing it.

I got my tickets today. CWebb's ceremony was wonderful and I expect the same for Vlade's ceremony. Wouldn't miss it. I may have to eat Ramen for the rest of the month, but I wouldn't miss it.

you know your team sucks when the highlight of the season is going to the jersey retirement of 2 players that retired playing with different teams. one of which our fiercest rivals and bitter enemies, the lakers.... wish i could go but i live in los angeles.

I won't be there. I was lucky to be there almost every night when he was actually playing, and that is what I will remember. I can watch the ceremony in glorious HD on the 50" screen, and cheer with invited friends. It won't be the same, but it will be significantly cheaper.

In honor of Vlade returning to see his jersey retired, I've gone into the VF21 vault and retrieved the avatar I used for a very long time. I'll be keeping it until March 31, 2009 when it will return to the vault - much like one of Disney's classic films.

VF, I totally forgot about that avatar!! That is crazy old school!!

As the Kings retire certain jerseys, we should retire certain avatars... ;)

Vlade's a great guy. His son was on my basketball team when I was younger, but truthfully he wasn't very good. Vlade came to some of our games and was always nice and he also brought the team to the Kings arena where we went around everywhere for a cool tour and got to play with him. Guess what, I got to play with him in knockout and I went after him. Guess what happened, he missed his free throw, I nailed mine right behind him, and he was dumbstruck. This honor isn't just for his skills on the court, but also his great personality.

I was looking online for tix today and the cheapest tix I can find for 3 people is the $40 seats. Ugh. I will pay it if I have to, but that is getting steep. I am going to go to ARCO tomorrow (I think) to see about what they have available, and at least save the service charges......

When I picked up my tickets a couple of weeks ago, they said the upper tier had started to really sell. I got the $25.50 seats, so it does not surprise me that they are already down to the $40.50 seats.
