Viewing Party?

Oh, re: the the regularness of this? I've been told that MS&E is working on their own stuff for the offseason.

We could party at the Tennessee Stanford game on 12/3 @ Maples. 6th and I are going to head to Palo Alto for that, anybody else going and want to meet up before during or after?

MS&E huh... Holding my Breath

We are going to see the Stanford Tennessee game too. So that is a possibility.

I wouldn't hold my breath about MS&E putting something together. Until they get what we as fans want they will fall short. I think we can put on a hell of a party.

Small baby steps I guess.

So Luv13 gets to come right?

I do think they are sincerely thinking up ways to gather folks together. In fact I'm going to guess the email announcement I received earlier today is one of the two things I was told was in the works for Monarchs STHs this offseason. I'll commend the effort and may consider their offer but it certainly feels more salesy than an attempt to get us together for the sake of being together. And that, I guess the difference in frame of reference is why the ideas we have seemingly tend to run parallel to what they have in mind and not always convergent. We can chat about ways to fix this problem when we gather for the party.

I have zero doubt whatsoever that what we put together on our own for ourselves and anyone else who wants to join us will be awesome. We're thoughtful like that.

I should have things finalized for the Finals Replay Party by Weds morning.

Sounds good! See you, Friday evening.

We're All Set!!

Ok folks, we're confirmed for Sunday, October 16th for our viewing party double header, which as it stands right now will include the home opener against the Sparks and game 4 of the WNBA Finals in all their splendor. We'll be gathering at the Chesapeake Commons Clubhouse in Rancho Cordova, which has seating for about 25-30 people. (it can hold more, we'd just need folks to bring some lawn chairs if it appears we're going to exceed the supplied seating). We will have the games projected onto a screen of incredibly suitable size for viewing by all who want to attend. I've cleared the AV hurdle in what may turn out to be a really fun way.

I will post directions next week.

I'm proposing that we begin the festivities at 1pm/1:30pm for the first game with the game 4's airing around 3:30 or so. If there are overwhelming objections to that time scheme, let's talk it over.

Next steps is to start organizing the potluck/tailgate eats and perhaps start an RSVP list as well.

Woohoo!!!

Sweet! Count me in for sure Maybe 2 total. I'll bring some chicken or pizza. Will they have a kitchen to heat things up? If not no worries. The time is cool. Thanks so much for setting this up MBF...You are the greatest!

Oh, yeah....that's what I'm talkin' about. :)

It is on my calendar for 1-ish. I need to give a little thought about what I will bring. I really wish I had time to coordinate, but I am working 6-7 days a week and teaching home school. I am a bit on the tired side.

Cool...I'll make the posting over on the Booster list and put the invite out to the folks at MS&E if any of them would like to join us.

Thanks! And, now I must go teach some math.

Call me crazy but Is't this get together against copyright laws?
Not sure, it will be only for "personal" use. No one is charging any money for the viewing (I'm assuming). Think it may be okay. Leagure just doesn't want anybody making any money off rebroadcasts of games, I think.

MBF: You are fabulous!! :D Count me in.

The fact that people aren't paying money either directly or directly is one criteria for sure. But what also comes into play a little bit more is the issue is how "public" this is. I think we fall in a very good place under the the permissable home use category for several reasons.
