Utah Loses ... Lakers pending

Utah lost tonight taking their record to 25-28 good for 9th in the conference. Our record after tonight (Barring a collapse of biblical proportions) will be 25-29. We'll pass and Golden State and be a half game out of that 9th spot.

Ultimately that's a hollow victory if The lakers don't start losing. Currently they are up on the Blazers by 9. Should they somehow lose, the will fall to 26-27 or 1.5 games ahead of us. We need them to lose a few easy ones since they play so much at home for the rest of the season.

The lakers meanwhile are slightly ahead of the Blazers at halftime. Should they lose, the will fall to 26-27 or 1.5 games ahead of us. We need them to lose a few easy ones since they play so much at home for the rest of the season.

there are only 8 PO spots

and Jazz are not the competitionfor the PO spots

we can help LA to jose some home games

Haha, I'm an idiot. I meant 9th.... 1 spot out of playoffs. Either way we are closer to passing them.

EDIT: There, edited.

Go Blazers!

The Jazz are a damn good team and just got Boozer back. They are as much competition for that final spot as the Lakers are. Do not sleep on them.

Deal hasn't changed. We have to get to .500 to be legit "contenders" for that oh-so-desirable #8 seed. What other teams do is pretty irrelevant until April or so. SOMEBODY will nab #8 at .500 or better.

Why do all the Lakers-Blazers boxscores show the game over with no fourth quarter played?

because they stopped updating it. The game is not over yet

Wolves and Hornets also lost tonight.

I agree on the Jazz, though don't see them going off or anything. Also who knows with their history of injuries.
