Update on Garcia

#3
If players are injured on the road, do they still go and join their teammates on the trip?

I really would like to see Garcia against the nets [march 6], even if he won't play.

out for a week...... is what i heard after the game......
Unfortunately, that means pretty much the entire roadtrip.

I agree though -- where is Bonzi? If we get him back we can absorb this no biggee. If not...Corliss? But he lacks the guard skills. Hart could be back in the rotation. Activate Monia?

Hopefully sometime late this week/early next week on Bonzi..

i think Sergei gets off the inactive lise and Corliss gets minutes.

Another question:

Is Bonzi even travelling with the team on this road trip?

Anyone seen him on the sidelines?

I'd like to see him also :)

The biggest drag is he was giving the Kings a lot. Despite his somewhat obligatory quick turnover, he was penetrating and dishing better than anyone they've had since - umm - I dunno? Who?

He looked confident. He worked his butt off whenever he guarded Kobe, which must make guarding anyone else seem much easier. I've complained about having bonzi, martin and garcia all year, but now I'm glad.

Where's Bonzi?

He was at the Grizzlies/Bulls/Lakers road games, so I figure he's on this trip.

A lot of teams recently released some players. Perhaps the Kings will pick one up. Jim Jackson was let go and the Rockets waved Barry. Of course neither are anywhere near being young legs.

They said on the PGPT that Bonzi will be joining the team in Atlanta. He wasn't with the team tonight for whatever reason, but he will be there Friday. I'm hoping he pulls the hero act. Fly's into town and puts on a uni.

Is Bonzi cleared to play though? I hope he's ready for Friday. Then again, I don't want to rush him so much that he umm does that thing again.

Well not Barry, seems he was cut because he's not healthy enough to play. Maybe we will see the amazing six man rotation.
By the end of the roadtraip if we only played 6 men they would collapse. This is horrible news :(

The only thing I can think of is maybe playing Potapenko (sp?) and using artest as somewhat of a point forward.

You have to wonder about the "week" guess this early, though. It could just as easily be a couple days or 2 weeks. I doubt they did a very in-depth exam that quickly - probably need to get an update tomorrow with a more accurate timeline. Also depends on how fast of a healer he is.

Good luck Garcia - come back soon!

Uh, Bonzi too. :)

Well, that isn't too bad. At least it is not 2-3 weeks.
Ummmm....they said AT LEAST a week. Could be longer. They said it was very badly swollen. Rats!:( I guess whether he's with the team or not, will depend on if they think he can rehab better back in Sac and/or if they want him to see the team doctor.

For Bonzi, I thought they said a week last Friday. Of course, he's likely to be very rusty.

*sigh*
