Tyreke in NBA Elite 11 TV commercial

I'm seriously not sure about this 'new control system' having to flick an analog stick to shoot is gonna drive me up the wall.

Yea, saw it during the draft THURS. With the 1st two highlites being of 'Reke, I thought it was a shoe commercial. I was like, "NO WAY! A Shoe deal!?" LOL!

EA had to change the name from NBALIVE to Elite, due to NBA2K's dominace in the basketball video game industry. Elite will probably still have nothing on NBA2K11.

i really liked Live this year though, really playable game.

no problem with them using this flick thing for the layups but every shot? come on!

my thoughts exactly...

i actually bought 2k10 but returned it for live the next day...

I was a live fan from nba live 98 to nba live 2004 then i became a fan of 2k from 2k5 to 2k9, but this year just didnt do it for me. the fun factor was not there, not to mention the spacing on the floor.

Live is just alot more entertaining, and mixes arcade and simulation quite well. Not to mention, their broadcast camera. The angle is just amazing. Seems like your watching a real TNT broadcast.

Plus Live/Elite has got Marv Albert. ;)

Yes exactly! I have both games and only played 2K10 a couple of times. I really liked Live 10, graphics and player models are lot better and more fluid game play. I just don't like the getting sucked into canned animation but there are ways to avoid it by avoiding pressing turbo too much. I'm actually trying to trade 2K10 for even NFS Shift in CL.

He has a shoe deal with Nike. also a deal with VSP.

the purple Reke HaVoC 13's!

As far as I know, he has a deal with Nike to wear nikes. But not a signature shoe deal like LeBron's own shoe, Melo's own shoe etc.

If he dominates again this year with an improved game, I don't doubt Reke will get a signature shoe deal soon.

I hate to spoil the whole shoe deal thing for everyone, but these shoes ARE NOT a Tyreke Evans signature shoe. These shoes are just a general model that is released in multiple colors. Evans happens to have a pair customized for him. Its not the same as a Chris Paul shoe or even...gasp...a kob3 bryant shoe. In other words, the shoe model isnt exclusively for Evans.

nba 2k > live/elite by a landslide. There's a reason they changed their name, they need more sells because they suck.

Yup, chupacabra is right. Hyperdunk is the current main line of basketball shoes for Nike. The RekeHavoc13 is just one Nike will make with the Kings' colorway for Tyreke. They do that for all their contract players such as Kevin Durant etc. KD has his own colorway for the Hyperize line.

Tyreke is a great player, but he doesn't have the hype that a John Wall has thats required to have a signature shoe right away. When Tyreke shines again next season, I don't doubt he can have his own signature shoes down the line. It took Melo about 3 seasons before Jumpman gave him his signature shoes. Its all a business deal and its not the best players that has the signature shoes all the time, they just need to be popular enough to sell the shoes.

No need to be disappointed because even kobe was rolling with the Hyperdunk line for a while before nike saw his popularity was recovered enough to sell his own signature shoes again. Remember kobe was dropped from his addidas deal early in his career because his signature line wasn't selling well enough for the $ they paid him.
