Tyreke has a new look! MUST SEE

Pfft. He should be curling at least 50s. And even I do incline sit-ups with 45s. An elite athlete should be doing better than your average Joe. Where are the pics of him shooting 3000 jumpers?

;)

by the size of him im sure he can do more, maybe it was a warm-up set? or just to get a pump going for the camera

That's a pretty complex contraption when the guy standing off to the side could probably do the same thing.

Reke looking real good taking those jupmpshots grant it its just the Drew League but, it was against other NBA players.

Still has the leg kick/lean back thing going on. Hard to see that ever going away but hopefully working on other parts of his technique to improve his FG%

He looks like he's taking his time as well when shooting his jumpers. There's been a lot of decent players with natural leans to their jumpers. Not saying he's going to be the greatest jump shooter but if he just sets his feet and doesn't rush his shot, it looks like he might have a decent jump shot now.

Prediction time!

Tyreke improves the jumper, becoming neigh unguardable when its on.
Tyreke has an incredible season, posting 20/5/6.5 on efficient %s.
The Kings, despite missing the playoffs in the brutal Western Conference, show that they are indeed on the upswing.
Tyreke gets a max offer in the offseason.... From another team.

The Maloofs explain why letting go of Reke was a good idea. (They'll probably go the "cap flexibility route").

Tyreke destroys us for years to come as we wallow in mediocrity.

im one of the biggest Tyreke fans on the planet. but i wouldnt say he has a new look, looks the same to me. sure the shots went in, but the shot still looks the same, and its a highlight video, they arent gonna show the missed jumpshots

Shot looks pretty good. I noticed during the regular season that most of his jumpers that went in were a result of his feet being set. When he starts dribbling too much he tends to fade so much. Maybe the work with the shot doc helped to get his footwork better while creating a shot.

remnants of the kick are still there, but the bringing the ball back over his head stuff seems to have largely stopped. As long as it goes in he can shoot it underhand for all I care.

Umm ... considering you posted in this thread before I would have thought you'd know where the thread title originated from, and the direction that this thread was going.

lol oh crap, i thought this was a new thread, since that video was on the top of the page. i thought it was page 1. im an idiot

Tyreke Evans dribbling training with Pat the roc.

It's rare that you can find someone who makes Tyreke's handles look average.

As for the shot, his form and follow through is better, higher release and less of a sling action. He does still kick out which is annoying as it will be difficult to create a consistent shot when your foot is moving out, but we'll see. I only care about results, and at least his form is slightly improved.

the beat on the handles video is sick. the only difference i see in his shot is that hes not bringing the ball behind his head. Also a set shot in the gym is alot different than NBA speed. I went to a Lakers vs Kings game during Tyreke's second season, He was warming up shooting a bunch of threes before the game and literally made at least 70% of them. He's still leaning back like Lebron used to do, which is not necessary when your 6'6 with long arms. I wonder who worked with Westbrooks shot?, he went from having a shot as bad a Tyreke, to having a legit midrange shot which makes him ungaurdable. If Tyreke had just that midrange shot and learned to drive left so hes not as predictable, he would be an elite player, but we've said that for 3 years now. Hopefully and for his sake this better be the year he puts it all together.

I don't really care about the kickout that much. There has been many very good shooters that kickout their foot while shooting. Reggie Miller being one. It was the fade away that concerned me the most. But as you said, the bottom line is whether it goes in or not. The result is all that matters.

Tyreke surely seems to be putting some work into his game this offseason. i cant wait to see the results

I've been following him on Instagram and every city he goes to he's putting in alot of gym time. Judginh from his pictures, he's in the best shape of his life. He looks to be around 210-215. I hope all his hardwork this offseason translates into more wins for the team.

Wow indeed. I can't remember seeing such a difference in a player's vertical explosiveness in a long time. He's clearly been working on it and he does look leaner. I'll go crazy if I see him playing SF this year, we need him at the two and even some minutes at PG.

WOW! He looks great! Hopefully that shot has come along a long way as well!

If coach Smart uses him properly, Tyreke is in for a HUGE year!
