Tyreke Evans will start from Day One

You can try and make a case for Beno as a shoot first pt guard if you want to. As a matter of fact, I won't even question his intent. I just question the result that I've seen with my own eyes. I think Beno lacks court vision. He doesn't see the open man, too often.

I would agree that Sergio hasn't played enough minutes to make a resonable judgement on what his real 48 per would be. But I do know that you have to twist one of his arms behind his back to get him to shoot the ball. I mean, in Spain, he was Rubio before there was a Rubio.:)

yeah, sergio wouldnt shoot the ball if the ball threatened to shoot him first.

Not quite. He was always marked as a great potential and everything, but nothing comes close to the Rubio phenomena. Not even with Gasol (who was more compared to Toni Kukoc in his early days. Could dribble and shoot 3s and pass the ball).

yeah but sergio was supposed to be the spanish jason williams from the get go.... but he was stuck on the bench in portland, now he has beno and evans to deal with. im glad we finally got him but i feel sorry for him because he might not get the chance to prove himself. he was supposed to be this uber-flashy pg who took daredevil risks with the ball, could make any pass like he was kidd or nash and handle the rock like an and1 player.....

this is further proof that signing beno was a huge mistake.

I wasn't really trying to compare him to Rubio. I'm just saying he was thought of in the same vein, as a pass first, good ballhandling point guard. He's always shown to have potential. So far, thats all its been, and mostly because of his shooting ability. Or lack there of. And, although he may not be as good as Rubio (yet to be determined) he did arrive on the scene before Rubio. Although I will agree, not with the same amount of fanfare.:)

I've seen very little of Sergio, or if I've seen him, I just haven't paid attention. In any case, based on his "scouting report" I hear he's a very good open court passer in the fast break setting. If the scouting report is true, then that supports the notion we're going to be running a lot more next year because Evans should also be very good in the fast break. (I will believe that Beno is 3rd string, until I see otherwise).

Yes, you hope a lot of bad things happens to Evans, for whatever reason. However fortunately Westphal is cut from Rick Adelman cloth, not Bill Russel cloth. There will be none of that power play nonsense.

I think this is a funny find after the Westfail/Cuz blow up.

I think it's funny that you dug up a three-year-old thread and the only thing you really demonstrated is that you were as biased against Evans back then as you are now.

Some people have nothing better to do with their lives than talk about how bad Tyreke is

Funny, looking at the top of this page, I remember AriesMar, a frequent poster who went the troll route, bashed Reke at every opportunity and got banned.
