Most of you should know the situation by now, but I'll go over it again. You are stranded on a tropical island by yourself. You have an unlimited supply of water and food, and everything else needed to survive. You also happen to have a solar powered PC and TV, with every console ever made, as well as a few solar powered arcade games. Obviously there is no cable or satellite available, and no internet connection. You are allowed to bring 20 games with you.
Design: The official draft order will be decided by a randomizer. As in the other drafts, each participant will select a game when it is their turn, stating the name, platform, and year of release, as well as an official picture for the game (game box, screenshot, etc). Any additional pictures will be in a second post using spoiler tags. Along with a picture, a brief explanation of why you chose the game will also be required.
Once the draft process is finished, a board-wide voting will take place on the participants collections to see who has the best collection.
As in the other draft threads, seeing as how it was my idea, I declare myself commissioner and will handle any rule changes, draft order, etc. A moderator may lend a hand if for some reason I am unavailable for an extended period of time.
Rules:
-20 Rounds (Serpentine)
- PC games, Arcade games, and Console games (Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, Sega, etc.) are to be selected. Handheld console games may also be selected (PSP, Gameboy, Nintendo DS, etc.)
-Once your pick is made, you must PM the next person to speed things up.
-You have 24 hours after the last pick made to make your pick, at the end of which the next person may then make his or her pick. If you do not pick within 24 hours, the draft keeps going and you can post your game whenever you can. If you know you will be unavailable for an extended time, you can PM your pick(s) to another member to post your picks for you.
- When picking a game, state the name, platform, and year of release, as well as an official picture and a brief description of why you chose that particular game. (As in the rest of the drafts)
- Multiplayer and/or online features of any game will not be considered, as you are stranded on an island by yourself with no internet connection.
- As with the movie and music drafts, you cannot pick a game that hasn't been released in your country yet.
-You may not pick a game that has already been picked by another participant, even if the game is on multiple platforms
-Like the Babe Draft, games selected will be based on IN THEIR PRIME, as in, when they were first released.
- Games released only in Japan will not be considered.
- Assume you have any accessories needed to play each game (except an internet connection.) Example, you have a guitar for Guitar Hero, you have the SNES SuperScope, you have the Nintendo 64 Expansion Pack, etc.
-***Expansion packs WILL NOT be considered a different game than the original. However, you may indicate that you want to include expansion packs in your choice ONLY IF the original game is not taken by somebody else***
- This draft will NOT be starting until one of the other drafts is finished, so be sure to sign up sometime before then. A maximum of 16 participants are allowed to sign up. First come, first serve.
If anybody has any other rule ideas or if I forgot something, let me know and I will consider making the necessary changes. Also thanks to Mr. Slim Citrus, tradepeja, and Bricklayer, as I have based my rules off of theirs in the other draft threads.
