TRANSMISSIONS

#1
hello, kf.com!! as we await news of where and whom the kings will be picking in this year's draft, perhaps you'll consider the following. many of you are aware that i am a poet of modest repute. awhile back, i [very heavily] petitioned for the forum's support as i chased a publishing deal with one of my favorite independent publishers of poetry. unfortunately, i did not receive that deal, and in the absence of a publisher for my work, i've since been whittling away at my next DIY project.

that said, 'Transmissions' has arrived. it is my second self-published collection of poetry; it is also my first spoken word poetry album. the chapbook is 32 pages in length, and features 24 original poems, while the album is 36 minutes in length, and features 16 original poems selected from the chapbook. the album is entirely self-produced, and each poem is accompanied by an original musical composition. i've also included album artwork and a digital insert in .pdf format so that you can follow along with the text of each poem.

'Transmissions' prods at issues of identity, as well as our struggle to connect to one another through the static of daily life. one poem gives animation to the characters of Edward Hopper's painting 'Nighthawks.' another imagines the end of the world as a lonely recollection of the things we leave behind. and another still is written from the perspective of Link, the hero of Nintendo's famous Legend of Zelda video game series.

the chapbook is on sale in my Etsy shop, if you're interested in purchasing it:

and the album is on sale on my Bandcamp, where you can also stream each track individually:

NOTE: right now, ONLY the digital versions of the chapbook and album are available. for the time being, i WILL NOT be producing physical versions of the album, although physical copies of the chapbook will be available soon. i'll update this thread whenever i figure out how i intend to produce those copies. i respect that some prefer physical over digital (i'm one such individual, myself), so you're welcome to wait for the physical version of the chapbook, but i'd appreciate your support either way!!

thank you, friends!!

:)

to anyone who may be interested, i've reconfigured my distribution method for my spoken word poetry album, and i've edited the initial post in this thread to reflect that change. you can now stream 'Transmissions' in full via Bandcamp, and if you really dig it, you can purchase it for $5.00 in the digital format of your preference:

i'd appreciate your support, kf.com!!
