Send Salmons, Fredette, Thornton to the Knicks and Outlaw to the Bulls
Get Stoudemire and Camby from the Knicks, and Deng from the Bulls. All bad-to-terrible contracts, but great players (or a great potential mentor in the case of Camby).
Why would Bulls and Knicks do it? Both teams are over the cap. This trade would reduce Knicks payroll by 6.6M and Bulls by 10.3M.
This leaves the Kings with 3.8M under the cap, enough to sign Tony Allen (a FA who currently gets 3.3M from Memphis).
Depth chart:
1 - Evans/Douglas/McCallum/Thomas
2 - McLemore/Allen/Evans
3 - Deng/Patterson/Johnson
4 - Stoudemire/Patterson/Thompson
5 - Cousins/Thompson/Hayes/Aldrich
The only catch? They would need to go over the cap paying Evans, but if they find a way to get rid of Hayes and Thompson they can get back under.
