Trade IT for? (split)

I like Bledsoe a lot. He is a very good defensive player, and has become a solid PG since coming into the NBA. I don't know what we would have to give up to get him, or if the Clippers would be willing to trade him (he is the perfect backup to Paul IMO).

I'd give it a 99.9% chance they trade Bledsoe if the Clippers are able to resign CP3. Teams love him around the league and I see him commanding at least a $7mil deal if he hit FA. Clipps would be smart to maximize their value on him.

Yeah, I agree! If the Clippers resign Paul, they'll be right up against the luxury tax ceiling. At that point, I think that unless they can get Bledsoe to take a cheap contract, they'll have to trade him. I'd love to have him on our team. I can see him having a breakout year on a team like ours similar to what Harden did in Houston. Just not to the same extent. Not sure what we'd have to give up to get him. How about IT and our first round pick this year (Cav's) and Bledsoe and the Clippers first round pick this year (a low first round pick). Probably not enough!

I would gladly trade IT (plus change, maybe even an extra player on the bench if not the draft pick) to get Bledsoe. I wouldn't even mind paying him around the 7 million mark, though I wouldn't go past that. I think he is the PG we are looking for. Defensively, he can keep pace with almost anyone and has become a solid PG. I can just picture a starting lineup of Bledsoe, Tyreke, (insert new SF here I hope), JT, and Cousins. Our backcourt would be tenacious defensively and we would be more than solid in the frontcourt. I also agree that he would have a breakout year if traded. It all depends on CP3's decision, so it would be hard to make a play for him until that is decided.

We'd also be pretty good at running plays. Neither Bledsoe nor Reke is amazing in that regard, but if they both shoulder soe of the playmaking responsibilities, then I think we may have something truly special. It should look something like this-

Bledsoe- 13 points-7 assists-4 rebounds
Reke- 20-5-5 (still firmly believe that this is his stat line competently managed)
Cuz- 20 points-10 rebounds
JT-10 points-8 rebounds
(Insert new small forward here)- 10 points-7 rebounds

Bench- At least 25 points-15 rebounds-11 assists
