Top Prospects See Fit With Kings

You know, its too bad Barnes' game is wrong, because every time he speaks he sounds smart and mature beyond his years. Always knows his stuff.

I would almost guarantee Barnes becomes an all star level player. The guy is a born leader and he has all the tools to succeed. He just isn't flashy

Anyone else find this like a last minute PR stunt on Kings part?!

Send a Kings reported to the draft to ask some pointed questions to these guys knowing full well that none of them would bad mouth the franchise and would give politically correct answers.

Then publish that on the website claiming that top picks would see themselves fitting really well in Sacramento just try and water down the very obvious points that NONE of these guys bar Drummond and Lillard wanted to work out for Sacramento in the first place.

If they saw themselves as good fit and they saw Kings as a good spot for them, they would have worked out for the Kings, instead they declined to work out and in some cases cancelled the workout all together.

A clear PR stunt by the Maloofs....make it sound like these kids would be jumping out of their skin to play for the Kings. It would be funny if it wasn't pathetic!

Anything on the official Kings website is PR. That's true of any team, and actually it's nice to read something positive after all the negative press being thrown our way.

But is it honesty or politically correct answers from the draftees? I am not into hearing nice things even though they are not the truth. If we are such as awesome spot for these guys why did all the top cats refuse to work out for us?

The quotes aren't made up. I don't know what was going on with the workout stalemate, but 99% of these prospects just do what their agents tell them to do at this point. If we draft one of them they'll play for us and it's encouraging to hear young up-and-coming NBA players have a few positive things to say about our players isn't it? I don't think that's phony. As bad as our current ownership situation is, the actual basketball side of things still shows a lot of reason to be optimistic and that's what any incoming rookie is looking at right now -- how do I fit in with these players.

The coaches are the problem. Daly didn't like Westphal and clearly Cousins didn't. They then switch to a coach who seemed set on alienating Tyreke. Who knows what the other guys on our team think?
