When referring to my original statement in reply to yours, I'm sure you can understand that I didn't know you had a Dad and a Father, and that the two were separate. In most cases, one's father is his dad. Sometimes I think you just want to argue about everything. I don't, so I bid you farewell on this subject
I don't know about "most" cases, but that sure as hell isn't the case when and where I grew up. I don't know anybody my age who grew up in the same household as their biological mother and biological father, except for my ex-wife, whose parents ironically divorced after we got married. Among my peer group, having a Dad and a father is the norm, rather than the exception. So, no, as a matter of fact, I can't understand, "sure" as you might be to the contrary. I can understand that that might have been normal for you, but I can't understand why you would assume that that was normal for me as well, instead of taking what I said at face value?
As far as your comments about me, personally, I don't actually "like" to argue about anything. I will openly admit to two particular character flaws (one, I'm a pedant, and two, I'm an abrasive, confrontational person, both on the internet and in real life) which cause me to get into a lot of arguments, but I don't enjoy arguing with people. I don't even enjoy talking to people. If anything, I'm borderline-OCD in my inability to let things drop: I don't get any pleasure out of it, at all.

Well, mi amigo, I grew up in an orphanage. So I had neither mother nor father. However, I never for a moment thought my situation was the norm. At any rate, I'm sorry you didn't have what is considered a normal childhood. But it appears that you, like I, survived. Of course one can hope for more than just that.

I just saw an interesting post on another board about what "Great" would you want on your current team, and it reminded me of this post.
Out of the all time greats, who would we want to add to our team the most?
I think any of the top bigs (Chamberlain, Abdul-Jabbar, Hakeem, Russell, etc.) would create an excellent twin tower lineup that would be very difficult to beat. Not sure which one would be the best combo with Cousins to maximize our frontcourt potential though...

I'm a bit late here but I've never liked the "Jordan didn't win anything until Pippen arrived" argument. Pippen came into the league just 3 years after Jordan and one of those seasons Jordan was injured and only played 15 games or so. If Pippen arrived 6 or 7 years later, it might have merit. But 3 years, with one of them injured, isn't enough time to make an argument.
