A reality show where the contestants use very sharp knives.

;)

Season two starts Wednesday on Bravo. Should be fun!

barely getting a chance to watch right now since i just got home. anyone who has seen the first episode have any favorites yet?

I like Carlos. He admitted his dish wasn't top notch but then said, "Hey, at least it wasn't crap on a plate."

Gotta like that kind of honesty.

:p

I really didn't care for Carlos. Pretty damn good first episode. I like Sam, Mia, Ilan and Marcel so far based on first impressions. I completely agree with the choice to go home tonight, no way would she have lasted long on this show.

I thought Carlos was funny... I think Sam is the early favorite however.

I'll admit that they were faced with some very tough competitions and interesting ingredients. There may be several suprises and unlikely top contenders to come up. It's not clear just yet who is solid enough to consistently impress, should make for an interesting season indeed.

I hope evenstar is able to watch it. I always like her comments, since she's a chef and all...

I agree the ingredients were pretty interesting. I would never have figured out a way to use escargot, artichokes, American cheese food and peanuts. Of course, I'm not real big on smails, regardless of what you call them.

;)

woah a new season!!!! drat i missed it. i'll be sure to tune in next week for sure, i promise :D

until then i'll have to hunt for a rerun :D

woo hoo! i'm so glad they are back for more :D

According to my onscreen guide - DishNetwork - it's going to be on at 1 p.m. today on Bravo!!!

i saw a recap at 4 today on bravo. YES! the fun is back! i totally geeked out when i saw it was going to be on.

the competition was a fun one. very random ingredients, but that makes it fun! i started making my mock menu for what i would have done for the mystery basket. i couldn't come up with anything that exciting for first set of ingredients, but i came up with something fun for the 2nd set. i would have boned the frogs legs and ground the meat and made a burger out of it. i would have sliced the eggplant, and deep fried it after coating it in the cornflakes ( crushed of course) which would act as the bun. i would have made fries out of the potatoes, and made a peanut dipping sauce.

the new contestants seem like fun. the one guy, i think his name is marcel, he seems like steven the 2nd, but he can't walk the walk when steven could. steven was arrogant, but he won challenges. maybe this guy will, but until he does, he needs a heavy dose of humble pie. i like the girls in this one. well i don't like that pastry chef who said she would use her sexuality to her advantage. what is this, parvati from survivor? get over yourself! i like that 23 year old who doubted herself in the immunity challege, but she was one of the top 4. i'll root for her. lets get a girl winner this time!!!

i loved harold as the guest judge. he's so cute :D the new host is even worse then the girl from last season! oh she's painful!

The host is really pretty.

meh.. looks like a wanna be j.lo to me. (just my opinion)

as for todays episode.... EEEHHHHHHHH. I PASSIONATELY hate that black haired chef (who claims to be a model) who got into it with Otto. While I agree maybe it was the right choice for him to go since he had already been on the chopping block, something about her REALLY rubs me the wrong way. She is now on my list. I can't wait till she is gone, plus apparently her dessert was horrible. Betty is growing on me. She has a cute personality.

I just watched the first episode and will catch this weeks later when it repeats 100 times. I grew up in restaurants (both parents operated restaurants in Sac) and absolutely love this show. I thought the girl they booted was kind of cute but she was in way over her head and I knew she was gone before they got through the quick fire.

The host is an improvement over Billy Joel's daughter but she has some odd scar or other distraction on her arm that was bugging me.

Yeah, I'm shallow when it comes to tv personalities. Sue me.

I loved this week's episode. It seems they're using a lot more creativity in figuring out what challenges to put before the chefs this season.

I've developed a real dislike for Marcel.

Ok...we're agreeing way too much!!! ;)

:D

Of course, if he came up with a garlic dish, most likely all would be forgiven.

;)

I think Michael should have went home tonight. He pales in comparison to the other competitors and isn't the least bit creative. I still really like Ilan. Sam's still really compelling as a competitor also.

Kinda dissapointed noone got sent home today.

I finally got to see this week's episode. Those accusations of cheating sure made a couple of the contestants look petty and small...

argh.... i no longer get bravo at the house i'm living in right now. i'll check and see if they play the episodes online. otherwise i'm out of luck :(

wow have I been out of it, I am going to have to search for some episodes and see what I can dig up. I never did see the finally last year, watched most of the season only to miss the end.

They're a lot tougher on competitors this season. TWO went home tonight and the table certainly pulled no punches about what was right and wrong about the dishes the chefs prepared.

I don't understand why they haven't showed this in a couple weeks, but my program guide indicates it's coming on tonight. i got it set to record. at this point, i don't know who i want to go home tonight.

I think they only missed one week - the night before Thanksgiving. I've been watching it all along. I wasn't too sad to see the person leave tonight.

The challenges are still pretty interesting. The idea of feeding a whole group of hungry surfers breakfast isn't for the weak of heart.

;)

I will agree that Marcel needs to go. In the previews for this week, it shows him saying something to the judges about someone who has "continually cheated"... While he may follow the letter of the rules, he certainly doesn't do much to foster friendly competition. I know I would never return to a restaurant where he was if I did happen to meet him.

I like Sam best, I believe.

hahaha i hope it's marcel who's cheating. he's so redundant at times. how many foams do you think he'll make over the duration of the finals? not to mention he did salmon and beets twice.....

i'm rooting for ilan, but i have a feeling sam is going to win. elia might sneak in, but i have a feeling the final 2 will be ilan and sam, with sam winning.

still, go ilan! he's my man! mi amour :D

I am NOT a happy camper. I will definitely be rooting for the person who doesn't make me want to lose my lunch...
