Am I the only one who is totally fed up with the trash talking going on by some teams? I find it very interesting that those doing the most talking are the ones who aren't putting it all out there on the court.
Josh Howard? Um, dude? Did you know that smoking marijuana is against the law? You are NOT gonna get away with making comments about smoking it in the off-season, regardless of whether everyone else you know also does it.
Jerry Stackhouse? Um, Byron Scott earned his ring. You have like zero right to talk the talk when you have yet to show you can even crawl the crawl, let alone walk the walk.
Carmelo Anthony? Oh please. Quit freaking whining about Kobe Bryant and play the game.
NBA league office? Care to explain why the officials are, all of a sudden, calling Shaq for every line violation when it's something he's done all season? You don't suddenly decide it's a violation. Did Timmy Duncan or the Spurs send you film clips to show what pretty much everyone who has ever watched Shaq play already knew? Was this a surprise to you? Sorry, but this is almost as obvious and blatant as the Amare Stoudamire fiasco last year. If you're that enamored of the Spurs, just cancel the first two rounds of the playoffs and let the Spurs and the Lakers meet for the WCF...
I'm still watching but I'm rooting for the guys who suck it up and play, not those who want every little perceived slight to be addressed in the media. Shut up and play, guys. For the rest of your season, however long it might be, at least try and look like you want to earn the bajillion dollars a year you receive for playing a game.
