I didn’t know where else to put this so…This is a hypothetical question. I just want to know people’s opinions on this.
Just a little blurb: I don’t watch the NCAA, I don’t know anything about the players (partly why I’m going to ask this question).
Let’s just say we get the number 1 pick. Ricky Rubio doesn’t declare; so the most talked about guy – Blake Griffin, is the top. I have no idea if he’s good or would fit our style. But let’s say the Nuggets decide to give up on Melo - they’re just tired of him and he’s not the player they envisioned and they like Griffin (whatever).
Would you trade our pick (and let’s say Kenny – just for the hell of it) for Carmelo? Would you keep the top and take a chance on Griffin or any other player for that matter or do you think Carmelo can be a really nice addition to our team?
….and I do realize that we have Andres Nocioni that plays SF (and he also makes a ton of money). If you’re for the trade, would you then keep Nocioni or try to trade him? Or would you prefer to wait for 2010 and take a shot at another top player? Or would you forget about ’10 and just build this team straight through the draft?
I know this is random but I was just thinking about this and I was interested in other people’s thoughts.
