Please do not take offense for what I am about to say..but I am at a point of frustration where I want to say **** this team..

PLease let the Kings leave Sacramento..I'm begging you..it seems as long the Magoofs feel they HAVE to keep this team there instead of WANT to keep this team there the Kings will continue to suck..For example take a look at rainmaker's post..

Petrie is part of this. But dude, look at our freakin coaches since Rick.

Theus-not nba coach
Muscleman-not nba coach
Natt-not nba coach
Westy-no one else will hire him as an nba coach
Smart-we're the onyl ones who'll hire him as a head coach. GS got rid of him as soon as possible

The problem is partly the roster, but also a huge part is we keep hiring coaches who aren't nba head coaching material. The fact no other teams hires any of these guys as head coaches proves that.

although scary just looking at the list he brought up a very valid point and sadly it seems like it will be a trend that will continue..I'm sure Sacramento is a very nice town but its not a place I can see that would attract some big time free agents that would help propel this team..again this is not an attack but a plea to let the Magoofs take the team to where they prefer(most likely a big market) so we can start seeing this team win again. I would love to see the Kings one day win a championship before I die and I'm sure other Kings fans around the world feel the same way too but to be honest I just don't think it will happen if they're still in Sacramento.

That's just my opinion...feel free to attack me..

Dude, you're on a SACRAMENTO Kings forum. What sort of responses are you expecting? And the problem is NOT the location of the team. Sacramento has had a great team before, and the only thing stopping it from happening again is TERRIBLE ownership, awful coaching etc. etc. etc.!

This. The fish rots at the head.

I guess you weren't watching Kings basketball when they were constantly making deep runs in the playoffs for a few years, blaming the location of the team is bogus...by the way, I don't live in Sacramento either

I absolutely agree that the location is not the problem but the owners not WANTING to be at said location is the problem..its obvious they don't care to be there and are not gonna sell the team so the Kings can stay in Sac. All I'm saying is we are not gonna win until the Kings leave Sacramento..you may not like it but its the truth. I just refuse to believe that a franchise like the Kings that has found success from 99-06 are just suddenly a terrible franchise. It really hurts to see other franchises go through a shorter rebuilding phase while we are still trying to figure it out. I'm just tired of the losing and I don't think a revolving door of coaches is going to fix the problem..it's time to look deeper and be honest with ourselves.

I've been a fan since the J-will and C-web days..that was in junior high school..I'm now a college graduate so I've been a Kings fan for a looong time. And again I'm not necessarily blaming the location, I'm blaming the fact that the owners not wanting to be at said location is probably a root cause for our losing. All I'm simply saying is to let them go, the ideal situation would be for them to sell the team to a billionaire like Ron Burkle who has expressed interest in the Kings but that is not going to happen no matter how much I would love that.

F that nonsense. We've been loyal to this team since before you were even born. Most of us here have been watching since way before the Webber/Divac days. We know what it's like to lose but we're tired of these dead beat owners trying to play us for fools. You really think the Maloofs are going to all the sudden be good owners again in a different city? Should all teams just be in big markets even though this one has proven to be worthy for over 20 years?

How is that the truth? Because you say so?

Do you realize we've talked about this repeatedly for years? Covered every angle? Location has nothing to do with it. If the Kings move, they'll have to be sold, as the NBA won't allow the Maloofs to leave. So if they're selling anyway, why wouldn't new ownership be able to turn things around in Sac? That's just an asinine comment, and labeling it as the truth is worse.

Yeah, you know what? Offense taken.

It takes a lot of chutzpah, or whatever they call it in Brooklyn, to come on to a Sacramento forum and tell Sacramento fans to let their only major sports franchise leave because you would rather they go elsewhere in the hope that the team might get better. Really? Who do you think you are? You want to root for a winner? There are a lot of teams to choose from, pick one and godspeed. But don't you dare come in here and tell me to kick my hometown team out the door so that you can enjoy watching them.

Did you even think before writing this? Do you have an understanding of the concept of empathy?

Please do not take offense for what I am about to say

Wow. Just wow.

Seriously. To me it is mind blowing you can "support the team" but not care at all about the city behind it. Players change, coaches change, and owners change. The persona of a team is largely guided by the city it is in. If it were to move much of that would be different. The city is the constant. If this clown wants the team to move, can't enjoy the team without "big time free agents", wants a new coach and new players he should go ahead and see himself out and find another team. Because that's what it becomes when all that happens together.

It's not about attacking you. It's about learning very quickly to ignore what you say.

This is KINGSFANS.com and - brace yourself - the vast majority of us are SACRAMENTO Kings fans. We love our team, with all the warts and wrinkles, and we have fought very, very, very hard to keep them. For a newbie like yourself to come here and spout this kind of nonsense is insulting to each and every one of us.

I'll use myself as an example...

I've been a fan of the NBA since 1964 (and no, that's not a typo). I was a Boston Celtics fan until the day the Kings came to Sacramento. From that point on, I have been a loyal and dedicated SACRAMENTO Kings fan. My family is all Kings fans and the passion for our team runs deep. We root for OUR team.

You've been offensive and insulting and I'll be totally honest. We don't need any more negativity about retaining our team here. Quite frankly, we've had more than enough over the past couple of years of trolls who come along and revel in our angst and misery. And right now, you're looking a lot more like one of them than any Kings fan.

You might want to step back and think about how your comments are being taken. And you might want to spend some time reading the heartache in the "New arena" thread. Maybe then you'll stop pouring salt into our wounds.

Ditto. My family is into the third generation of Sacramento Kings fans. We are supposed to just give up our team, because some jackass owners don't want to be here? Owners that can't afford to be pro-sports team owners anymore. Sacramento is most definitely NOT the problem with the Kings. From my point of view, its the stupid Maloofs that should sell the team to one of the buyers that wants to keep the Kings in Sacramento. THE single biggest problem with the Sacramento Kings is the Maloof ownership.

I'm not going to give up on my team. Sacramento has two of the top five sell-out streaks in NBA history. We do not deserve the ownership we're currently stuck with. If there is any justice in the sports world (questionable, I know), we will get the new owner we deserve and the team will remain here.

Ya thats great. You're from brooklyn I take it. But even though you have the Nets and Knicks plus a whole bunch of other teams that are closer... You are a Kings fan? Your solution to the Kings problem is to have them move? That's brilliant! Are you an alcoholic? Geographical escapes work for you? No matter where the Maloofs go, they will still be there. Oh never mind all the Kings fans who want the team here. No we want them to move so "brooklyn king" can see them win a championship before he dies. Like you care.

So because I'm from NY I have to strictly like NY teams?..I hate the Knicks and I could give a crap about baseball, hockey and the Jets. The only times I ever go to MSG is when the Kings come to town and that's it. And I'm as much an alcoholic as you are a crackhead..let's not get personal and keep things strictly sports. I was fuming last night after the lost but I'm not gonna comment anymore on this subject..tonight is another game and we'll see where things go on from here.

If the Kings are moved, what does it change about their performance? Please come up with a more useful suggestion than that.

You are right one one basic level. The Kings need out of Arco. The Indian Graveyard beneath the old barn is getting angrier with each passing year.

Your a joke! And no Kings fan would want his team to leave. I notice your posting from New York. So I have suggestion for you. go root for one of those teams, and why not as them to move as well. You say we'll never win until the Kings leave! Duh, if the Kings leave we'll never win again because we won't have a team. And the odds of ever getting another team are slim and none. Your not a fan, your a troll!!!!!!

The problem with your argument is that you think that allowing the Kings to move would fix the problem. The Kings have an extremely loyal fan base in sacramento. The city put together a more than favorable plan for building a new arena, which the owners shot down. The problem with the Kings are its broke owners. Moving the team doesnt suddenly free up a 10's of millions of dollars for the maloofs to spend every year. I expect you to use more logic than this.

I think what the OP means is that since the Maloofs are in Sacramento- a city that the family wants no part of- the family is not doing everything possible to improve the franchise and the team to make it a winner. The Maloofs obviously tolerate the losing because they don't care. This is proven by the fact that they won't sell the team to a group that does care. Now if the Maloofs move to their desired city they will be happy and then do everything possible to improve the franchise and the team and make it a winner. In the eyes of the Maloofs moving will fix the problem.

Anyways, this is what I think he meant.

This. The fish rots at the head.

Car Czar?

lol he was saying that all day today on his radio program..

As for the OP, he can go to heck. This is a SACRAMRNTO Kings forum, and we do NOT want the kings to move.

Gonna close this oen as I don't see much point to leaving it open other than just to collect more insults thrown towards an OP who probably did not mean any harm and wishes he'd thought it through more before posting this.
