Time to call it quits

Vets... take a back seat! Time for the kiddies to play! After this disastrous season, I say it's time for some real entertainment.

I want to see some playground highflying ball entertainment from the young guys!

The rest of the games can be thrown for all I care... actually I'd like them all to be thrown. We only have one thing to play for now and that's LOTTERY. Why not have some fun along the way?

I like 3 more wins....2 vs. the Lakers, and 1 against the Jazz...3-8 the rest of the way is just fine and dandy with me. We'd be 33-49 then...oh well.

Time for someone to get a new watch. The sad thing is that by not adding tallent OR preparing o rebuild this PAST off season the Maloofs/Petrie condemed the team to what many of us KNEW would be a season neither good enough to be interesting nor bad enough to net a top pick. As I said a long time ago there is nothing in the middle of the road except a yellow line and dead armadillos.:(

0-11 sounds better.

I don't care about the Jazz, but there is no way in H E Double L that I would ever be okay with losing to the Lakers. Just no way, no how.

I could live with 2-9 if the 2 wins were again the hated Lakers.

Somethings tells me Price and Justin (and cant forget Douby, the guy Petrie chose over Rondo and Williams despite our needs for a backup PG) are still going to get under 10 minutes every 3rd game or so til the season's up.

This organization just doesnt get it.

I strongly suspect we're going to see a shift in focus. There's just no real reason NOT to give Ronnie, Justin and Quincy more time at this point.

I agree in principle, but I expect Musselman will try to end this season on a high note to protect his job. Last night, Ronnie played all of two seconds (didn't we get rid of Jason Hart to give Ronnie Price more minutes?), and Justin and Quincy didn't play.

Exactly....What has the Kings front office done so far this season that's made sense?

Waived Mo Taylor. Signed Justin, after goofing that decision earlier.

That may only leave them with a season record of 2-9, but hey, it's something.

I don't think a couple of wins this late in the year, especially with everything else that's going on, will influence Musselman's future with this organization. I honestly believe TPTB have already thought about this. I wouldn't be surprised if the decision has pretty much already been made on whether or not they're going to give Musselman another year.

Look at the Adelman situation. Despite a late-season flurry AND excellent series against the Spurs, Adelman was gone ... It became pretty obvious the decision had already been made and they were just waiting for the season to end to implement it.

Yes, but what does musselman have to lose from doing it though? If he thinks he's fired what does he care how it hurts our draft position?

I don't know if he's fired. I think they've either decided to keep him another year or to let him go but I'm not trying to predict which decision it might be...

As far as Musselman not caring if he hurts the Kings draft position, I don't even have a clue where to begin to answer that. We apparently have incredibly different views on how professionals do their jobs.

I'm just saying if he's in fear of his job what does he have to lose from trying his hardest to win every one of these games.

You can call it playing the kids, but essentially it's the same thing.

Indeed for Muss's interests to not be diametrically opposed to ours, he would ahve to have some security that he would be coming back next year, that he himself would benefit from any high draft pick that we got. If he thinks that he is gone unless he makes a good showing, or even if he knows he's gone and just wants to bump up his win % for his next job, his interests and ours as a franchise are not the same. Very few are willing to eb the guy throwing themselves upon the sword.
