First tech of the season for Boogie. His reaction?

It would be nice if he hit our open 3's.....open up the lane. Play better in the second half and the win is there for the taking.

We need to calm down as a team. I think Cousins gets worked up when he faces other good big men and the team has taken up that mentality too. There is a lot of 1 on 1 going on out there. The good thing is the Wolves aren't playing D either. If we focus we have a chance.

He's on pace for 34 pts, 10 rbs, 4 asts. If that's worked up, the rest of the team really needs to take after him.

The best thing about that half of basketball is that it is OVER. Someone needs a halftime peptalk. I sure hope Coach is up to the task of turning this around. If u can beat Phoenix and compete with SA, you should not be down 11 at the half to the timberwolves. It's just that simple. Now come out in the 2nd half and prove it !!

Rudy had a good bounce back in the 2nd quarter.

Kings need more help from their starters Lawson and Afflalo. They're not doing enough.
You know it's bad when McLemore is coming off the bench and still has more points that you. We might need to sub in Temple for Afflalo. LaVine is just lighting it up.

Afflalo has just given us nothing tonight and looks slow compared to the hyper athletic Lavine.

Afflalo is kind of being put in that Ben role of the few last years. With Gay and Cuz as go to guys, the SG is looking at scraps offensively. Have we not learned the routine yet? I'd like to see some plays run for Afflalo in the 2nd half to get him going.

Every game is different, some teams match up better with others and vice versa. Phoenix took OKC to OT yesterday. Minni is a tough matchup for us, they are very talented and now have a very good coach. Game isn't over but if you live by "well we beat this team, or hung tough vs this team we should beat this team" you are just going to drive yourself crazy. Also this is our 3rd game in four nights and Minni is on two days rest. No excuses but they are clearly playing one step faster than us which is compounded by their youth and athleticism.

That start was brutal for us. We started battling back there but every time we get into single digits they put us back in our place.

Defense needs to lift in a massive way in the 2nd half and players not named DeMarcus or Rudy need to start hitting some shots.

Too much one on one from Rudy Gay

I can't take too much more of it, visually. Certainly it doesn't fit our new offense and you can tell

Yep. But it's all about defense at this point. Rotations have been trash and we're barely challenging some of these shots

Also, i'd like WCS on KAT, as opposed to Cuz or Koufus

Defense MUST tighten up. They gave up WAY too many wide open uncontested shots. If the Kings just turn up their defensive intensity, the shots will fall eventually on the other end. If I was Joeger I would be reading them the riot act. They came out flat and got it going a little in the second quarter. I'd like to see them come out with the defensive effort they showed in the first quarter against the Spurs and get back in the game.

It looked to me like Minnesota got away with two, there: Wiggins traveled, and Aldrich caught the ball on the end line, before that.
