Thomas Kinkade thought for the day

Saturday and Sunday, June 4 - 5:

With effort, you can arrive at the conclusion that trust makes at least as much sense as distrust.

Monday, June 6:

When I find my focus and keep my balance, I find that all is right with my world.

Tuesday, June 7:

Life, if you have eyes to see the whole picture, brims with meaning, with purpose.

Wednesday, June 8:

Your house: the place where love and joy and tranquility burn the brightest.

Thursday, June 9:

The more you let yourself be blessed, the more you'll feel the motivation to bless others.

Friday, June 10:

In everything, give thanks. - The First Book of Thessalonians

Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12:

Discovering new possibilities close to home is another kind of adventure that can make a life romantic.

Monday, June 13:

Small gestures, small events, small experiences, often mean the most.

Sorry for the delay. I put the calendar down and it fell behind the computer desk. I couldn't figure what had happened to it until just a couple of minutes ago!

:D

Tuesday, June 14:

The hard work of creativity includes the work of getting good enough to do what you really want to do.

VF, missing your daily contributions.

Here is a pic my mom sent me, I hope it works (the river is supposed to be shown as 'flowing')...

Nice pic albeitrue.

I can imagine opening the door of that cottage to find Snow White and her little dwarves running around, singing and cleaning ! :D

Thanks, and me too, LOL! I'm not a fan of Kinkade's for that reason, but I thought the pic was a cool one, I've been saving it for a special occassion...I wonder if VF has been ill?

My guess is she's spent the past 48 hours asleep under the table after boozing it up in celebration of the non-event which was the Petrie news conf ! ;)

Sometimes a self-induced coma is good for the soul... :o

You guys rock!

While it wasn't exactly a self-induced coma, I did take a little step back to retool for the rest of TDOS and the upcoming season. I know I have to work on my defense a little, and I need to make sure ALL my remaining brain cells are on the same page with regards to the goals of the whole body...

:D

Now, back to Kincade:

Wednesday, June 15:

Don't sell yourself short. Don't sell your creative efforts short.

Thursday, June 16:

Whatever your miracle, it will give you the opportunity once more to move forward in faith.

Okay, that sure sounds like a message for Kings fans, doesn't it? Wait until you see the next one...

Friday, June 17:

Hope is a renewable quality.

Saturday and Sunday, June 18-19:

He that has light within his own clear breast May sit in the centre and enjoy bright day. - John Milton

Monday, June 20:

Try making a point of actually playing the way you did as a child.

Tuesday, June 21:

You need to practice saying, "Let's do it" ... and then do what life is calling you to do.

Wednesday, June 22:

Careful listening is the imreplaceable key to finding your purpose.

Saturday and Sunday, June 25-26:

Tornadoes and violent thunderstorms are reality. But so are warm, breezy summer days.

...

Hmmm. Doesn't that one describe at least one Kings fan - *cough VF21 cough* to a tee? For those of you who haven't been here that long, I was - up until recently - the resident Pollyana. No matter what happened, I would be the one saying I still loved the team. That everyone should still have faith in them, etc. Then, as I mentioned in the Renewable Hope thread in the main forum, a whole lot of stuff happened that brought the storm clouds to VF21WORLD. Now, however, slowly but surely, the rain is beginning to slow and the cloud may actually part... AND...we may actually see some sun.

Yep, it's back. The OFFICIAL VF21 OPTIMISM SONG (blatantly and obviously stolen from Broadway):

Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
Till there's none!

When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And grin,
And say,

Oh, the sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

Just thinking about
Tomorrow

Clears away the cobwebs
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

When I'm stuck with a day
That's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin, and say--

The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!
You're always a day away
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away!

With the Optimism song lyrics being dusted off, i think it wont be long before we can glimpse that Maypole being erected in your back yard VF....when Petrie makes his first moves over the next couple of months the forecast is for sunlight to filter through those gunmetal skys. ;)

Monday, June 27:

Take a walk in your neighborhood or visit a nearby park.

-------------------------------------------

loopy - Thanks for asking. I'll see what I have in the vault.

:D

Thursday, June 30:

If you enjoy something and find it beautiful, that is reason enough to like it.
