They just won't STFU

Guess which Maloof spit out this garbage:

In a back room at the NBA draft lottery Wednesday night, a member of the Sacramento Kings' ownership group approached Warriors co-owner Joe Lacob and made an amplified claim.

"In five years, I think your ownership group could be considered the best in the NBA," the Kings' executive said to Lacob. "I completely get the vision you have for the arena in San Francisco."

And conversely the Kings will continue to have the worst ownership in the NBA largely because they let George run their fortune into the ground. So yes Joe Lacob, be very afraid that a Maloof is giving you business advice!

Does he really get the vision? One guy is about to spend $600 million of his own money while the other isn't willing to spend 75.

I'm not sure if I would consider being endorsed by the Maloofs a compliment if I was an NBA owner.

I seriously hope that was a minority owner, but sadly I think it was a Maloof. It's just them sucking up trying to get the league back on their side IMO. Hopefully it doesn't work.

The Maloofs are probably kissing up to the other owners to get votes later. I doubt they know anything about what the Warriors are doing or what vision they have.

One wonders whether Grant Napear's next comment will be that the 100% private/team financed new arena in S.F. is a "good deal" for the Warriors.

So we can add "bootlicking" to the standard Maloof adjectives?
Well, it was already in my Maloof vocabulary. They remind me of summissive dogs who writhe at the feet of alpha dogs. In the NBA pecking order, the Maloofs have to be writhing submissivley in front of just about everybody at this point. Not a prretty picture.

As for getting the "vision" the Warriors ownership has for the arena, I don't think the Maloofs could "get" any vision, unless it jumped up and bit them in the ***.

And even then, vision be damned, they would be like "Ouch, something bit me, what was it? No, wait... I bit something... No, it bit me... but it wasn't a good bite, for us or the biter, so it's OK if we change our mind and retract the bite. Why don't we just remodel our old bite mark instead of getting a new bite?"

An odd twist, it was not a Maloof who made the comment. It was John Kehriotis. This is according to Carmichael Dave. So now the comment takes a different twist.

That makes a lot of sense. My guess is the minority ownership is unhappy with what happened with the Maloofs and the city, and unhappy that they want to move to Anaheim.

Oh. Well, can I just make disparaging comments about the Maloofs anyway?

Sure. They've built up enough douche equity for quite a few free shots.

But the sound bite now sounds more like a shot at the Maloofs for not backing the ESC and the quality of their ownership.

If you think us fans look at all this stuff with skeptical eyes, I can imagine there are those who are truly successful business people like Kehriotis who see all that and more. He had to sit there and watch Adrienne go sit on ESPN for a PR bump to some sleazy reality TV show. Not one Maloof has ever earned the right to say they built a successful business. This does not go unnoticed.

Yes.

I believe at least one minority owner sounded unhappy about the fact they have no say over whether the Kings leave Sacramento or not. I don't remember which one, as it was a while back.

except George Maloof Sr. but he left it in the wrong hands.

From what I know, George Sr. was a good guy and built his wealth from hard work. Obviously he died before any of that hard work and smarts rubbed off on his kids.
