I tend to agree with this as well.Carmelo Hayes should be the NXT Champion. Dude has it all. Bron’s got talent for the limited amount of time he’s done this, but he’s so freakin’ boring as a character.
Well, I disagree with it: Kayden andIAlso, on another note...Not that I DISAGREE with the decision to put the belts on them, but I am SHOCKED that they have decided to give the belts to Roxanne and Cora so soon...
Well then, I'm glad that I never got around to watching RAW. I was sick as a dog on Monday, and I couldn't have handled watching someone else vomiting, especially not for the lulz. Also, going back a day, to RAW...What in the HOLY H-E-Double Hockey Sticks were they trying to do with Otis??? That was just disgusting. I get the hot dog eating contest, since July 4th traditionally has a pretty darn big one (Nathan's), but to then take it a step further and have Otis get "sick" because of it, and eventually "throwing up", took it a bit too far for me.
Oh, I agree. Going back to my original comment, what I was trying to get at is that I don't necessarily disagree with the decision to put the titles on Cora and Roxanne; I just disagree with the timing of that action. I, just like you, would have much rather see them put the belts on Kayden and Katana right now. And then build Cora and Roxanne up to eventually take the belts from them.Well, I disagree with it: Kayden andKacyKatana have been the only real tag team they've had in NXT's women's division for, like, two years, and they're sensational, and they keep coming up with every reason imaginable to not put the belts on them. It's disgusting.
Woah...For those who have yet to watch NXT tonight, I will refrain from "spoiling" the fun, but woah!!!
Wtf, it was like they blew through 2 months of story over 2 hours. Talk about a rushed turn!
Regarding the bold statements in my post above, from 4/13/22, I guess the time is NOW. I absolutely love this little twist that they've thrown at us. It's just the timing of it that annoys the heck out of me. Especially considering what just happened one week earlier.Random WWE (mainly NXT) thoughts:
Having Mandy in NXT is MONEY, especially for the young gals that are showing up.
Having Natalya in NXT will also be MONEY, as long as she's around to work with the young gals, and groom them into potential superstars.
I am trying REALLY hard to REALLY like Cora Jade, but she hasn't done anything to gain my fandom just yet. She's still young, though, so she has a lot of time.
Super stoked to see Cody back.
And, finally, as always...
I'm beginning to get REALLY annoyed at the "E" blatantly trying to shove their big name stars down everyone's throats. Roman is becoming stale. But, yet, he keeps on getting the massive push. So. Freaking. Annoying.
Although I agree that it will never happen for obvious reasons, I kind of want to see them turnKayden and Kacy might as well ask for their release. This is, what, the third time they've gotten denied a title run in favor of a team that broke up immediately after winning the belts?
Although I agree that it will never happen for obvious reasons, I kind of want to see them turnKacyKatana heel, and give her a run as a "bad girl". I actually genuinely believe that she would be a great heel.
But, then, I've said that about many others in the past, and they've all left me with a sour taste in my mouth.
Oh, and before I forget...They couldn't have given Cora a stronger skateboard before she went out? I mean, like one that didn't break before it even made contact with Roxanne's body? That looked SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad on TV, that it almost made the heel turn look super weak. That was a major fail by the WWE, in my honest opinion. If you're going to turn someone heel by having them use their weapon of choice, at least make it believable, and look like they're actually doing some damage to the other person.Regarding the bold statements in my post above, from 4/13/22, I guess the time is NOW. Even after she recovered, though, the leftover piece still made the entire turn look pretty darn weak.Lol ya that was bad. At least she recovered and went wild with the piece left over. It’ll look good in the Takeover video package. (Are they doing a SummerSlam Premium Live Event for NXT?)
Yeah, that was a bit weird...
:: sighs ::
WWE should change their motto to, "We're going to make you quit watching, if it's the last thing we do!"
I'm just glad that it wasn't Nikkita Lyons, whom I now only refer to in my head by the hilarious alias that she was given on social media, which I cannot repeat here, because of board policy. Also, I totally expected them to have her win the battle royal, and I actually wanted her to win the battle royal. I'm slightly annoyed that they gave the win to someone who was in her first match back from an injury. I HATE when the WWE does that.
Yeah, I'm with you on Lyons...Never really liked her. Elektra Lopez would have been fine. I am also glad that they didn't give the win to Wendy Choo...She needs a character change, in my honest opinion, in order to be taken seriously for a championship run.I'm just glad that it wasn't Nikkita Lyons, whom I now only refer to in my head by the hilarious alias that she was given on social media, which I cannot repeat here, because of board policy.
Personally, I was pulling for Elektra Lopez.
I had found out very shortly after Choo arrived. I had since forgotten about that, so thank you for reminding me. Her Mei Ying character was much better suited for a championship run than her Wendy Choo one is.Also, TIL that Mei Ying from the aborted Tian Sha stable (with Xia Li and Boa) and Wendy Choo are the same wrestler.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind Stark as a wrestler. I just don't like when the WWE pushes people that are just coming back from an injury, and automatically throws them into championship contention without any sort of a build up...I would have much rather given the title shot to anyone else not named Stark. And then build Stark up to eventually become the number 1 contender to whoever the champion is at the time (which, by the way, I hope is still Mandy Rose; She has been money as the champion).Wendy Choo the narcoleptic sleeping on lockers and crates was … fine. Wendy Choo the mischievous 8 year old woman is annoying. As for Mei Ying, the character was pretty neat and so different and out there but then she just sat in her throne for like half a year. Any of the anticipation just fizzled dead, and the character was dead in the water.
As for the battle Royal winner. Stark is a good wrestler with a killer finish. I really hope she finds something to connect with the “Universe”
I'm not a fan of how Zoey Stark debuted on NXT, basically out of nowhere, and then was put in a program with a main eventer/won a title in her second match. Then she comes back from injury to an immediate title match? I mean, she's not a bad wrestler, but what are other people seeing, that I'm not?As for the battle Royal winner. My thoughts exactly, which were expressed in the post right before yoursI'm not a fan of how Zoey Stark debuted on NXT, basically out of nowhere, and then was put in a program with a main eventer/won a title in her second match. Meh. Mandy Rose's run as champion has basically been, "I'm hot, you're not. Get on my level...", and then the same generic matches, over and over again. I can't think of a single memorable match that she's had, since her return to NXT, so it's surprising to see her reign surpass so many better NXT Women's champions. That said, she absolutely needed a refresh from her first run on the main roster, and this run has been highly successful, in that regard, even though Sonya's repackaging has, from a gimmick standpoint, been way better.... And then build Stark up to eventually become the number 1 contender to whoever the champion is at the time (which, by the way, I hope is still Mandy Rose; She has been money as the champion).
