The Worst Possible Rise Guy: Mark Kreidler

#1
Okay, I was listening to the Rise Guys this morning, as I do every morning, and I have had all I can take of Mark Kreidler. They were discussing Brockman being traded (which is a sad topic) and he had some super-negative, anti-Kings spin on the issue, then he goes off on a tear about how the arena will never, ever be built and how the convergence plan is not only an impossible long shot, but a sham to make it seem like the Maloofs and the NBA "tried" before they moved the Kings. At this point I actually changed the station to BSPN. The guy is a face-down, Debbie Downer all the time. He needs to go; no more SacBee rejects on KHTK, please.

Also, the best part of the whole thing, in my opinion, is that if the Kings leave Sac, there is no way KHTK will be able to stay in business...

Seriously, Kreidler sucks! Get someone better in there! Anyone else feel the same way? or is it just me?

Here is a photo of Mark Kreidler:

Well, I missed the above part and it kind of surprises me. He's usually pretty balanced and reasonable. Not one to go on rants and pretty low-key.

Generally, though, I really like Kreidler. A lot. The Bee should never have let him go, because he's a much better writer than anyone they've had since. Of course, he wanted to go write his books, too.

On the other hand, I could not ever stand Santangelo. I really did quit listening to the morning show after he was on for a while. He was just slimy, as far as I was concerned.

I enjoy listening to him as well. As for the Kings leaving, it is a possibility whether we're willing to accept it or not. It seems he made a stance on the Kings leaving which is just him speculating.

I rather hear anything about the Kings by anyone than listen to Don during my commute.

Agreed 100%. He's actually one of the more intelligent hosts I've heard and I enjoy him on the show. I was listening this morning but must have missed the part you were referring to.

He was probably the finest sports columnist the Bee ever had, most definitely not a reject. Now radio may be a different gig, but if its just a matter of voicing an unpopular opinion I don't think he should just pretend everything is rosy.

This. I think he's the best reporter that has been associated with the Kings, certainly in the past decade, and maybe ever. I just don't remember all the earlier guys (except Graswich of course).

I would actually be considerably concerned if he thinks the arena isn't going to get done again. Have to hope he no lnger lives int eh area and may be working off old information, because when he was here he was pretty much squarely on point on the issue.

You don't remember Joe Hamelin?!? Oh man, you really missed.....nothing. :p

Why'd they fire Justin Case back in the day? I like Kreidler for the most part but he does become a Debbie Downer sometimes. He likes to argue the other side in many conversations, which is good for radio.
