HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

...especially to those of you who are Irish (or part Irish). I have heard it said that everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day. ;)

I am part Irish. My great-grandfather (and his father) were naturalized in Carmi, Illinois. That is when they dropped the O from the front of their name. It used to be O'Bannon. When my grandfather (my mom's dad) married my grandmother he mixed the German into my heritage. So, yes, I have the temper of the Irish and the stubborn of the German. Don't mess with me. :p :D

I am Irish too on my grandfather's side. A lot, although we aren't quite sure of the details since we're also heavily Scottish so therefore, my grandfather's prejudice against the Irish prevents him from acknowledging our full heritage. And 6th, we're also all plagued by the "Irish temper". When family get-togethers get heated, it's not fun at all.

Happy St Patricks Day to all of you!!

In 2003 we went to Dublin for Pattys Day and saw the parade, it was HUGE, with over 500,000 people in attendance. We also went to the Guinness factory and we had the time of our lives in Ireland!!! Great People ( who also LOVE americans!)
