The Lockout has arrived.

I'd rather have Chandler.
Agreed. Plus, Chandler is a Californian. He was actually raised on a farm in the Central Valley and much later moved to LA for high school and its more elite basketball competiton. Quite a bit different in that regard than Daly, far from home on West Coast, being born in Haiti, returning to his roots often, with stateside home in Miami.

That could give us a chance at him. But he's an injury prone guy who could be asking for millions more than Daly. It becomes a major risk when the guy was earnign $12.6mil last year and in the last 3 seasons has played 45, 51, and 74 gms. I happen to like Chandler and was arguing for him for years even before he broke out in New Orleans. But his $$ to risk ratio is daunting when compared to a guy like Dalembert who has missed 2 games in the last 5 years.

To be fair, Chandler has played 10 seasons, and in 7 of those seasons he's played in 70 plus games. So he's really only had 3 injury plagued seasons out of ten. Unfortunately, 2 of those have been recently. So the question is, are those two seasons an abberation, or the coming norm? Thats the gamble your taking when you pursue him. Overall, if healthy, I think he's a better fit than Dalembert. He never demands the ball and still gets his 10 or so pts a game. He's not quite the shotblocker that Dalembert is, but his man defense in the post, as in denying position etc. is better. He's also a better defender away from the basket in defending the pick and roll.

I'd be happy with either of them, but I prefer Chandler. But there is a risk. I'd perfer no more than a 3 yr contract at best, or 4 yr's at worse to coincide with the ending of Tyreke's or Cousins contracts.
