It's a good thing that he, like everyone else in the NBA, wears shoes while playing basketball. His freakishly long arms (His standing reach was half a foot longer than Joakim Noah's, three inches more than Andrew Bogut's, an inch longer than Greg Oden's standing reach, and equivalent to some midget named Shaq. Hell, the only person in last years draft who managed to have the same standing reach as Cousins was some guy named Hassan Whiteside. His height should be of little concern.) more than make up for any "shortness" problems he may have. He may also grow a bit taller in the next couple of years, considering the fact that he is only 20 years old (Peja, Hedo, and Donte are a couple of examples of Kings players who have grown whilst in uniform. Hell, Dwight Howard probably grew a bit taller since his rookie season

Dwight Howard height without shoes at the combine was 6'9" and his standing reach was 9'3.5". His height with shoes was 6'10.5". Cousins height without shoes was 6'9.5" and his height with shoes was 6'10.75". His standing reach was 9'5", or an inch and a half higher than Howards. Plus I think it should be pointed out that when people refer to Cousins being big, its not necessarily his height they're referring to. He has a huge frame and very wide shoulders. He's just a big boy.

Can you imagine Cousins if (and this is a big if) he bulks up like Howard has? Wow. I don't see it happening, but then again, Whiteside bulked up really nice in just one summer.

The best case scenario would be to add muscle and lose around 5 or so pounds. I realize that in some cases thats contradictory. But to get stronger, yet lighter would add quickness and some added leaping ability. We'll see how dedicated he is by the beginning of the next season. Or hopefully summer league which I plan on attending once again.

Cousins already has a wide frame so it would never happen.

Dwight came into the league looking like a stick.

I am not trying to pit one against the other, I just wanted your opinion. chill out dude...
That was me being chill....;) My honest answer is that I don't think either will dictate our style of team yet. My hope is that they will find a way to fit their skills together to be an amazing duo. By the way, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili both drive to the basket all the time. They hardly sit around and wait for kick-outs from Duncan. They have a stupendous big man and stellar guard play, not one or the other. They didn't choose one or the other and I don't think we have to do so, unless Cousins and Reke actually can't ever mesh. At any rate, its too early to tell who will have more impact in then long term between Cousins and Reke.
