Thanks for moving my request, VF

aw, darn! I remember that site! That sucks it closed :( they had a lot of cool pix and stuff. I got mine from FeelTheRoar.com a long time ago. This may be a dumb question but isn't this site(KF) the remake, or whatever u wanna call it of FTR?

No, Kingsfans.com is not a remake of FeelTheRoar, nor was it ever even remotely connected to it.

The history of Kingsfans goes back MUCH further than people may realize. It might be time for Jeremy and some of the OLD old-timers to talk about it again.

EDIT: I spun this off from a thread in the Art Studio. I felt it might be interesting for some of our newer members to hear about the history of Kingsfans.com from some of the people who have been around the longest...

That would be me for one. This site was originally started by Glenn, it had a similar name to the one used now and mostly consisted of articles written by the scant few of us who were members. There was also a small forum. Then Jeremy took it over about five or six years ago, blew it up into something bigger, and it just slowly took off from there with more members coming along. My, it's been a long road...

Here's an idea- how about we give KingsFans.com "retro uniforms" for some days. Just change the front page sometimes, keep it interesting. Just like in the NBA, except uglier.

Some particular front page articles would be good. June 3, 1998. Feb 8 1999. I'm sure there are some other notables that would make for a good front page.

Wow, check out some of the threads at this link...

This is just before the Kings renaissance. Some of the links don't work, there's some interesting reading of opinions from 7 years ago. People wanting a PG with the 7th pick (Kings ended up with Jason Williams), discussion of the proper way to spell Stojakovic's first name - Peja or Pedja. Lots of questioning of Petrie. And that's just what I've read so far.

Actually, everything above "Pedja Stojakovic - Zumbercanin 17:28:16 4/12/98" doesn't work, so don't waste time trying them. :)

Haha, gotta love discussion about whether Denver needs Mike Bibby since they already have Bobby Jackson (link).

The brief discussion of Mike Bibby is funny. I guess he was just destined to come here.

This one is particularly eerie:

":I heard the same thing while on an archealogical dig in New Mexico from a member of the Mallof tribal counsel. Seems they intend on shipping the Kings to New Mexico to play in the soon to be built Coors Light Dome . Then they plan to tear down Arco Arena brick by meataphorical brick to reclaim the remains of their beloved Shaman Tkakkn Nhutu Nwar, whose name by the way roughly translates into "He who laughs at season ticket holder" He says The New Mexico Kings should win the NBA Championship by the year 2002 after the curse of the Tanka is lifted. As you suggested in your earlier post Blackie, "fact is stranger than fiction"."

That explains all the missed free throws and poor refs- the spirits were knocking out the balls and putting their hands in front of refs' faces.

I remember when I was a member of Kingsrap.com and Kingsfans.com. Kingsrap turned into sachoops then kingsfans when the merge happened( I was on a Kings forum sabbitcal at the time).

Damn... Ive been around for awhile:p

Yeah I was a member of Kingsrap...I even contributed 2 articles to Glenn's site.
He even ran the competition of how many wins the Kings would have. I won it but he did not give me a prize :I
