well its down to 24 hours and im getting pumped! but at the same time im preparing myself for what we've become used to seeing..... nothing more than having the 10th pick.

it appears that the maloofs finally got the memo that were done as a contender and even as a playoff team as the roster stands now. with all that nice and crystal clear for everyone in the kings front offices. will this be the year that we do it right by blowing this team up and setting ourselfs up for a cap friendly future? or by adding young talent to replace the old.

im starting to have this sinking feeling that the 10th pick might be one pick to late for our big man(since CHI has the same need) just like this year might be one year to late for trading our big names/big contracts. funny enough that Artest looks to be the most attractive piece we have this offseason. with only one year left, teams that didnt give him a look before are finding that maybe its the real time to take a gamble.

i feel like all we got is damaged goods! SAR, Thomas, Miller even Bibbys stock is way down. Well Petrie's got his hands full. Good luck to him with trying to sell the other GM's on our players. He did do well with selling someone on Webber and trading Doug Christie for Mobley was awesome. We clearly got the better end of those trades. and yes K.Thomas is terribel but more than half of his contract is off the books and the 76ers hated him so much they paid 30mil to peace him out.

I really hope Noah falls to us. his stock has been falling since his slight tear in his shoulder came out, and obviously his offense needs work. but im so over slow jump shooters and guys that cant defend or rebound. he will hustle all the time, blk shots, reb, do all the things no one else on our team can do. plus hes a winner and has the size we desperately need. but will he make it to the 10th spot?

Bulls please take Hawes!

hahahahahahahahahaah. not to re-hash a tired old argument, but you brought it up first. we got the better end of the Webber deal? God, that is so ridiculous. Kenny Thomas is terrible, and he is on the books for what? 3 more seasons? Webber would have been a FA after next season, and that would have been $TWENTY TWO MILLION off the books in a HUGE free agent class, highlighted by Kevin Garnet, Gilbert Arenas, Jermaine O'Neal, etc.

That trade is going to be killing us for years. Why we don't buy Kenny Thomas out is beyond my comprehension.

yeah we should buy him out right before the season starts to hurt his chances to land on anyother team. that will teach him to be such a cry baby making 7mil a year. Im glad webber was traded. no way i could have took watching him those last couple of years. and watching everyone boo him all the time. peace out webb.

anyway back to praying about tomorrow. LORD LET US LAND A GOOD BIG SOMEHOW !

Don't give-up yet?

Evan Though Reggie Theus is not Stan Van Gundy(or Larry Brown)
I wouldn't be so quick to say its over before the season begins. Looking at The Garnett/Kobe/Pirce Marry go Round, I would say there will actually be more Trading After The Draft than before it for the simple reason that this is a week draft class. I still think We Can Deal Bibby, Miller, Artest ect and get some good talent in return. True you are not going to get Amare Stoudimire or sombody great, but we could get Jason Williams Back or a player like Kwame Brown. If The King's Are smart and Pull a Suprise by Drafting F-C Sean Williams I think some good things can happen.

"A Week Draft Class"

Yes--- After Oden and Durant who is there that you would trade a major pice of your team to Get? in other drafts you have had tons of guys like wade and stoudimre picked after High scool people like Kobe or Jermaine O'Neal who were not yet NBA Ready. Sure there are guys like Dudley and Noha who can make Bad Team better or fill-in in a good team and become a differance maker, but this Draft dosn't Have a Shaq type player or Garnett who will Just Dominate right out of the Gate. Thats why the Trades are breaking down.

both teams got screwed in the trade, okay? we broke Webber's contract up into different pieces, some of which are now gone. the 76ers had to pay boatloads to get rid of Webber's contract. its a crap situation for both teams

yes lets do

my bad for bring'n it up. anyway it Petrie time! time for Petrie to work his magic. im starting to think that if Noah, B. Wright, and Yee are all gone when we pick we might seriously think about trading down for smith and maybe try to get another pick for this or next year. I want nothing to do with Hawes.

WTF?!
Those were ******* terrible trades!!

The Webber Trade - lets trade away the heart and soul of our franchise for a bunch of bench warmers, and not to mention give Matt Barnes away in the process.

Doug Christie trade - you never trade defense for offense, and thats exactly what the kings did here.

::edit::
VF is right, ancient history i would rather not talk about. ever. lol

wow umm doug christie played maybe one game! that was a bad trade? thats like saying Petrie blew it when he didnt re sign Divac. He played maybe 2 more games after that.

He played more than a dozen then decided to have surgery on his foot. It would've been unlikely he would do the same with us. But if the same thing did happen, Martin would start with Doug around as a mentor. That would've been infinitely better than having Mobley for half a season and then walking on us.
