Good luck to Jimmer in his NBA career. Hopefully he'll catch on with a team that needs exactly what he brings and he'll be able to have a productive next stage to his career.

I wonder if Miami (who has a roster spot open due to the solid PDA did for them) would give him a look. Wade & James would relieve Fredette of ballhandling/playmaking duties and he could stretch the floor for them. Seems like a good fit.

Well everyone, I came to this forum because of Jimmer, so I probably won't be posting much in the future (I didn't post much anyways. Lol).

Even though I started watching the Kings because of Jimmer, I found that this team, the fans, the controversial move, ownership change, coaching changes, were all fascinating to watch and develop.

It made me appreciate this forum and the time many spend evaluating and grading each player after each game. The loyalty you all have is simply amazing. I think you have an amazing cornerstone in Cousins, and a management who is finally committed to building a winning franchise. You all deserve it.

I'll continue to watch the kings from time to time, and checking in to see what's going on. Thank you for letting me participate in this forum.

Even though Jimmer didn't work out as most of hoped, I wish nothing but the best of luck to this franchise in the future.

Ditto on this.... My thoughts exactly! I also have really enjoyed this forum and many of the awesome posters here (even if the feeling isn't mutual for some!). I'm sure I'll continue to haunt the board and maybe pitch in here or there.

My doubts about Jimmer's place in the NBA universe have been notorious since the beginning, but he seems a good guy and I'm glad he's going to get this opportunity. As I've been saying for a while now, if he can get on a team with a great ballhandling SG or SF (think LeBron, George, Reke etc.) then there would be his ideal spot. If its a winning team as well, it could up his profile/rep and his chances of sticking next year. So best of luck to him in that quest.

Ironic given that his last game with significant minutes was his best game of his young career.

I am dissappointed, yet fully understand. He is fun to watch because he looks like he just loves playing the game. I wish him the best of luck.

I wasn't a fan of his when he first got here, but he grew on me, and honestly I will miss watching him shoot the ball.
He has done enough to warrant more of a look, although it clearly wasn't going to happen here.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him scoring double figures off the bench somewhere. Hopefully in the East.

Pretty cool of the Kings to do Jimmer a solid by letting him possibly tag on to a title team and up his chances at getting a contract next year, rather than just rot on the bench. Jimmer on the court was a disappointment, but I'll always respect how he handled himself as a pro.

Thanks for being a pro. Hopefully you will find your niche, if your agent doesn't have it lined out already. I wouldn't be surprised if your picked up as soon as waivers clear. Good luck.

It's really too bad that it couldn't have happened with Tyreke. I blame that on short-sightedness of Smart and the Maloofs (and a little bit on Westphal for effing up with Cousins.)

Best of luck to Jimmer. I think he'll definitely stick in the league as a specialist off the bench. He's a perfect deep bench guy for a contender which will work out both for the team and Jimmer himself. Good pro, never complained. Wish him all the best.

I wish Jimmer all the luck in the world. I have little doubt he'll be averaging double figures somewhere. Why not? As to the Jimmermaniacs, I think they are getting a bum deal in this send off. They haven't been a problem to me. I must admit the first year or two was aggravating but his followers were more intelligent than some other followers. I think there still will be people wondering what would have happened if he had gotten steady minutes. Even me to a certain extent. He was drafted to sell tickets and coached by Smart. Bizarre entry into the NBA. I was one of the few that wanted him to be drafted by us but even that turned into a disaster what with an odd trade that got us a guy that had failed here before and lost us a popular pg.

Jimmer was one of the greatest shooters we have seen and unfortunately for him, it took three years for it to be revealed. Going out with a hot 24 pts was a decent farewell. I can see another situation where he might have remained but he wasn't so good as to be indispensable.

I hope he gets to rain threes soon.

Man, if I was a player agent, I would do everything I could to keep my players off the internet, sports radio, ESPN, etc. You're never going to read good things about yourself.

Melo is one of the best players in the league right now, but because the Knicks are a dumpster fire, about 8/10 comments on Melo are negative. Noise to signal ratio is just too hard to overcome.

Thanks to kingfans.com for allowing this fan to more closely follow Jimmer's career without having NBA league pass or being able to watch that many games. Good to get quality analysis in quick-to-read packets. It cetainly will be fascinating to see if the Kings were holding Jimmer back, or if they were right in their assessment that he has no (meaningful) NBA future.

I think it will be interesting also but the Kings tipped their hand when they drafted Ray. They weren't as curious as you are. Ray is more athletic and I am confident will be a better pg. Just the same, Ray isn't a ball of fire and maybe a few years from now we will be buying him out.

If athleticism was all that mattered, you would never have a Jeff Hornacek. Brains matter too. One reason the Kings aren't good.

I have no opinion on Ray. Saw him play once, that's it.

Good luck, Jimmer. I liked the guy and hoped he could be a decent bench player for us (at a minimum). Hope he can latch on somewhere quick and keep doing his thing. When he is "on" he's a lot of fun to watch.

Great opportunity for Jimmer. Hope he takes advantage. He'll have options. Choose wisely and bust your ass and you'll have a chance to carve out a role for yourself somewhere.

Hopefully a change of scenery jump starts his career. Agree with others that he did show improvement this year. As for us, I'm really hoping part of this is due to Ray showing well in practice and Malone/PDA feeling he's ready for more time based on what he's showing behind the scenes every day rather than giving more time to a guy based on him being their pick and needing to validate the selection.
