Like, we're doing a good enough job keeping Keon from contributing by sitting him on the bench as it is, we don't need to replace him with another SG that doesn't play defense...and who hates us.
The draft compensation would have to be pretty good. I'd do it for a guaranteed top-5 pick in this draft, though!
I always forget how utterly miserable trade season is until we're right in the middle of it and the Lakers fan proposals stack up. Knecht has an A-Tier nickname but he's not going to do anything to help our defense so it's an easy no for me. Granted most Keon Ellis trades are going to be an easy no for me, but this one I feel particularly spicy about.

Weird how they keeping listing Keon at 6'6, when he is really a 6'4 player
Not only do they get the two best players, they get 5m in cap relief. lol. I don't normally do cornball but will make an exception here. Luck the Fakers and their fans.
I think we know the Kings aren't going into tax payer territory either, this has to be why we didn't re-do Keon's deal in the offseason and yet refused to entertain him in trade discussions.

So all the Kings get in that scenario is a trade exception? lol why wouldn't we just keep him in that case?
Not for Keon, but I'd still 100% buy on Knecht. Could not be in a more toxic spot for his development after the faux Mark Williams trade and having to go back to an organization that clearly doesn't want him

The only thing that concerns me is the actual Fox trade was at least as bad as the ones posted here.

This one is actually good for the Kings. Can't stand Reaves but he's better than anyone on the Kings at the moment.
Reaves super power is highly dependent on getting the Lakers whistle.

Calling this thread “rumor” is an outright insult to the English language and a complete abuse of the word’s actual definition.

I see what you are saying but this is the bad trades by morons thread. Not sure why the rumor tag was stuck in front of it. The "Potential..." thread is where any actual rumors are discussed.
