You left out the 4 FRP I'd need to even start considering this. Yikes.
Terrible trade idea season is back, baby!
Stupidity never sleeps.

You dont just cut a 50m expiring contract, thats bad business practice. You take that contract and see if a team wants a short team boost on offense(e.g. Pistons) or teams that want to dump their stars (Ja/Zion) or use it involve in a mega star trade (Giannis).Help me understand how/why we would trade Lavine at this point. He’s a negative value asset in the final year of his contract. A trade will require us to take on matching salary and other bad contract(s). There’s no chance of being good next year so there’s no reason to attach value (picks) to move him.
Even the Zach for Ja straight-up ideas don’t make sense to me. That requires us to take on multiple years of a negative value asset in exchange for one year.
We need to take our medicine. Cut him if he will take a salary cut. Or keep him and let him come off the bench. Maybe we get lucky and someone offers us a second rounder and their injured expiring player at the deadline.
For the team that wants a short term boost, what would we expect back? Given that salaries need to match, it would be more bad contracts. How does that help? You dont just cut a 50m expiring contract, thats bad business practice. That sounds like a super great idea. I take most offense in the fact that they couldn't get the Boozer/Zach picture proportions right in their photoshop. If we could get 7-foot Zach lacing buckets on a nightly basis I would surely take another year of his pouting.
Lol. I like how they just acquire Hartenstein and the 17th pick. Like how do they do that?? And nobody giving up a 7th pick for Morant. The Zach attack isn't someone the Kings should give up value for to unload since he is expiring, and we aren't competing this next year. Joe Mullinax needs to set the pipe down.
OK, hear me out:
Why not go after that 3rd pick as well while we're at it???!!!OK, hear me out:
The Kings trade Zach LaVine for the #1 pick and Trae Young (draft A.J.)
The Kings trade Sabonis for the #2 pick and Markkanen (draft Boozer)
We're set!!!!
Because the Grizzlies obviously aren't going to let the trade go really heavily in our favor! Why not go after that 3rd pick as well while we're at it???!!!
So terrible that I didn't even have to read past the "Brooklyn Nets" section of the "proposed" trade, lol!!!Terrible trade idea season is back, baby!

I like how that unit is also a "new era". A new era of what?
Looking at the Thunder salary cap, the Mara rumors make 1000% sense.
I mean, I did like Josh Green like three years ago when Luka was making him look good and Mann is a solid role guy but gonna need more than two second rounders for a multiple time All-NBA big man
No idea if any of this would really work, but not sure why we would want the Hornets garbage in this deal. If the Nets really want Domas, I'd rather we just take Claxton and one or two of their disappointing young guys they drafted last year. That said, might as well keep Domas for this type of return unless it really does create a terrible financial position.
That's why it's in the "Terrible Kings trades proposed by the internet super thread" thread. No idea if any of this would really work, but not sure why we would want the Hornets garbage in this deal.

Some team is getting ****ed by this trade and at least it's not the kings
Without checking the fine cap details on this (like the LaVine S&T part), we give up a SRP, Hunter, Carter, and the LaVine contract for Naz, Randle, and Champagnie? Sure, it would create a logjam in the front court, but since it seems we're trying to trade Domas anyway that kind of clears itself up. We'd have Randle/Naz/Maxime/Dylan in the frontcourt, the better shooting Champagnie to help out the wing rotation, we know we're drafting a hopeful-franchise PG, and we're going to get something from Domas when we trade him. I...don't hate it for us, given that we're going down the Trade-Domas road anyway. Some team is getting ****ed by this trade and at least it's not the kings
