Terrance Williams

Entity

Hall of Famer
This guy would be a great pick up for us right now. He is 6'6 is a great defender. Athletic he can really handle the ball and take some backup pg duties as well as defend either sg or pg. doesn't expect a lot of shots and can hit an open 3.

I liked Terrence when he was here, but he has been bounced out of here and Boston. I suspect it had less to do with his mediocre play than with off-court issues.

Ok, I really liked Terrence when he was here, and its highly unclear to me right now what to believe and not to believe coming out of the front office's mouths, but at one point back there they were talking about getting the right sort of guys, character guys etc. Of course all front offices do. And of course trading away a whole stack of character guys in the last few weeks for actual NBA talent, even talent with selfishiness etc. question marks hanging over it, belies our claim that that stuff is going to guide our decisions. Nonetheless, IF they are worried about that stuff, then Terrence Williams likely won't be on their radar. Its never really been made explicit what it is that he does off court that is so bad, but as team after team have dumped him despite obvious talent, its pretty clear there is something there.

If I remember correctly, Williams made Jimmer look good but I will go with the league's GMs and believe that he has a major off court problem. It just didn't turn up on court. Scratch him off the wish list.

Not gonna happen. Not after he pulled a gun on his girlfriend. I don't know if he'll ever lived that down. It'll take a very gutsy and desperate gm to bring him back to the NBA. Word of advice to professional ballers - don't threaten anyone with a gun, it could end your career.

.

I have always been a big fan of Williams' skill-set and athleticism. I was really disappointed when we let him go as I thought he played very well for us in the limited opportunities that he got. But as has been mentioned, there is all the off-the-court stuff which has tremendously hurt his career. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in because I think he'd fit in well, but I don't see it happening unless somehow things change dramatically in regards to his 'other issues'.

So that's what it was.

Williams is now in the d-league. once he rips through them he will be called up by someone. If his off court issues are settled he is going to be a steal for somebody. wish it was us.

Hey, maybe we can sign Arenas as well, and pair them together. It would perfect if they didn't shoot one another. Seriously, I really liked Williams when he was here. But unless we find a way to move Thornton, I just don't see anything like that happening.

I would really like to see him back in white & purple and he could fit right in as a reserve guard. His athletisism and ability to find open looks for others are traits we really need more of here.

He's basically his team entire offense, and it shows in the second halves of back-to-backs. Taking out those games looks like his outside shot is starting to fall, which was his most glaring weakness. Weird, but his FT shooting is pretty bad, so it might just be a hot streak. Think someone will sign him after trade deadline shakes things up.

Terrence should get together with Jimmer and package themselves. I really liked him. He went out of his way to get Jimmer involved and it worked. Jimmer was really struggling and when he was on the court with Terrence, he actually looked like he fit in. Perhaps the issue is that Terrence trusted Jimmer and Jimmer fed off that. It was a good min-era in Jimmer's floundering career.

I'm with Uncia03 wholeheartedly.
