I actually thought when they got Vogel in as coach they might turn it around, and they still might. They started this season 6-1 or something similar. They have made some poor trades over the last few seasons as well so it may take some time. The recently fired front office staff even somehow let a whiteboard with various nba players names, some not on the Magic, get leaked to the media. Next to all the names were plans and machinations that should not be seen by anyone outside the front office. Just a mess.

I've said it before. Some of these kids with these outrageous haircuts just need to meet scissors. Look what it did for WCS.

In my opinion Randolph & Hill make too much loot to be positive value contracts, but that doesn't mean they are untradeable, just means you have to take bad salary back which is fine if we somehow got a pick or prospect. Just have to be careful it doesn't cripple us next year when we have no pick. So something could be there, just have to find enough value in it.

I think Kosta could return a second or long shot prospect with a salary filler in return.

Temple is overpaid too, so the team seeking him would want to offload some salary but he'd really have to fit a need. Like the above does it justify the possible second round pick or prospect we can get. But I wouldn't mind holding on to Temple either.

Carter you've got to get his permission to move I think, can't disrespect a player with his legacy.

He confirmed that at least 2 out of the 5 vets on any given night will not play and be told in advance, said it was not only his but managements desire and was the best way to go forward. The young guys may need some mental rest every now and then. How he was happy for 40 minutes of good basketball vs OKC and it's better to focus on the good points with the young guys while teaching about the poorer play.

So sounds like he is overall accept-ant to positive on what the organization wants to do. Brought up how this is an excellent opportunity for the younger guys to potentially showcase things for their careers.

So yeah, pretty much what was brought up or thought of before the interview.

Joerger pretty much confirmed again on the radio, 2 or more vets will know in advance if they will be sitting before the game day. Made it clear it was both what he & management thought was the best thing to do for the franchise.

I also want to remind people, many of us use the word tank in a similar manner to play hard & develop. Not everyone who uses the word tank means trying to lose.

If Kings truly want Hezonja, then it would be a dumb move to trade for him.

Since Magic declined his last year, he is a FA and the team that does trade for him cannot offer him more than the value of what QO would have been if Orlando were to pick up his last year and make him a restricted FA. Its the same issue Brooklyn faces with Okafor. Unless of course Kings would want Hezonja to dump salary of one of the vets and see him only as an expiring deal.

I get it, the dude has goofy hair but that doesn't even begin to explain why Orlando would be willing to move him in an effort to reset their rebuild. If I told you there was a 23 year old PG on the market who's a good defender and playmaker, is currently shooting 51% from the floor and 39% from deep (not a small sample size either, 351 and 57 attempts respectively) and consistently puts up above-average rebounding and assist totals you'd expect there to be a lot of interest. His achilles heel has always been shooting but that hasn't been a problem this year. As if to emphasize the point, his last game was 27, 8, and 5 with 9 of 12 shooting and 8 of 9 from the line.

And if you go player by player on that Orlando lineup, individually things look like they're on track for them. Aaron Gordon is having his expected breakout year. Vucevic is still solid in the middle and he's actually added an outsider jumper to his game this year too. Fournier is making $17 million a year now but he's giving you the production you'd expect at that price point and he's only 25. So what's the deal? That looks like a team that's a couple pieces short but not noncompetitive. They have a good coach, they have some good vets on the bench. Why are they losing all their games? It's not all because of Vucevic's injury as they were on a 7 game losing streak before that happened.

This whole thing just sounds like too many cooks are involved in that front office. Maybe someone is still mad about a draft pick from years ago. Maybe Victor Oladipo blowing up in Indiana this year has ruffled some feathers (especially since Serge Ibaka isn't even there anymore). Maybe they finally realized how much they overpaid for Biyombo. I don't think that roster is as bad as their record indicates but there must be something going on chemistry-wise which is sabotaging things.
