Take a deep breath and hold on

Okay, Kings fans. We should know the drill by now. After all, we've been through it enough.

Emotions are running high, people are frustrated, angry, confused, sad, depressed, etc. Even the optimists around here aren't very hopeful, but (to quote a certain musical) the sun will come out tomorrow.

We've still got the second half of the season to look forward to. We've got a new arena rising from nothing right before our eyes.

I'm not saying everything is gonna be perfect. All I'm doing is asking that we all remember we're here (with the exception of a couple of trolls who have already been banished) because we all suffer from the same illness. We all love the Sacramento Kings.

Is it easy? Oh, hell no. As Carmichael Dave pointed out, being a Kings fan isn't easy and it certainly isn't for the faint of heart.

This isn't a thread about DMC, it isn't about George Karl, it isn't about Vlade Divac. It's about us, the ones who have been here on Kingsfans.com back when it was Sachoops.com or the ones who showed up a few weeks ago. The important thing is we're all in this together.

I've been as guilty as anyone else in getting way too snarky at times. What I'm asking right now is that we do the one thing KF has always been known for - we can debate, discuss, argue, etc. but we do not allow personal insults and we certainly don't let a thread dissolve into nothing but raging diatribes. We can talk about things civilly, something that benefits everybody. :)

We're gonna be fine...I hope. :)

I still love this team.

What you say is true and thanks for saying it. The majority here have been looking for a change with the Kings and it looks like we are going to get it.

Like many I have been a fan forever and have seen it all and held on because I can't do anything else. Our owners, our GM, and even our coach want the best for our franchise so that always breeds hope for me.

It's tough on our platers to have to go through this uncertain time but it should open up the windows and let in some fresh air. As for the season, it wasn't going anywhere anyway. Maybe this might jack things up a bit. Hope so.

Fresh air? When I lived in Europe in a small village, there was period when the manure was being spread the last thing you wanted was open windows. It'll be amusing either in a good or bad way.

I am running out of patience and I am running out of ledges to hold on to. I understand losing when a team is young and foolish, but a team led by a 25 year old center averaging 27-11, a coach that has over 1,000 wins, and a decent rest of the roster? A lot of us have been through a lot and there are a significant amount of you on here that have been fans for 10x as long as I have.... for those I feel most sorry for. We all deserve better.

I am going to keep sticking through it, but I am going to most likely tune out as I usually do towards the end of the season when it becomes clear we have nothing to fight for, unless by some miracle we win like 10 in a row and throw ourselves back into the playoff race. That may seem like "not a true fan" type of thing, but I don't want to watch games like the last 8-10 we have played. No heart, no effort, no defense... nothing. As the popular expression goes.... "ain't nobody got time for that!"

Guess its time to get off the pot, kick the team in the rear, open the door, clear the air and start better days. Period.

Team and coach have to get back on the same page and now with defense as cause #1. Everyone knows Kings can score. Now if they defend and work together, we can get somewhere.
