T.O. has agreement with Cowboys

The more I think about it the more pissed off I get.

At some point one has to say they won't cheer for people like TO. In his case he is not misunderstood, he puts himself before the team. I give him about 6 games before he comes out and blasts Bledsoe. Hopefully Jerry was smart enough to put some strong language in his contract.

From a football standpoint this makes us a better team, it opens up the running game for Julias or whoever is running this year. Glenn will have a monster year as the best coverage will be on TO. I would venture to say we are probably a few players away from being serious contenders.

Makes the team better.

Eh, he's tight with The Playmaker. Parcells know how to coach prima donnas. Jerry is very shrewd at making the big move. I'm not worried about it. I imagine it'll be a 3-year deal that can be easily voided after the second year. He'll probably get a sizable signing bonus for the short amount of years though. I predict he wears #88.

After The Star Incident he was the one player in sports I actually hated, and would try to fight in public. But I've grown up. Athletes pull BS maneuvers for attention. I'm over it. George Teague will always have a special place in my heart though.

I have been trolling through some of the Cowboy forums and in general fans appear to be pretty happy about this move.

The star thing was more about disrespect then getting attention. He should of just walked up and slapped Jerry Jones mother.

That said it's not that big of a deal. This is most likely a short term thing, we will win a superbowl this year and get to 6 before the Niners, which is really all that reall matters for a CA transplant Cowboys fan.

Anyways thats what sports is about right? Winning at all costs. Who knows maybe Parcells is the man that can keep him in check. Still won't make me like TO but Football is such a team sport 1 guy will not win it on his own. He just better not drop the super bowl winning pass this year.

Pretty much. ;)

Owens is part of a very special class of athlete that I want to see have a career ending injury tommorow. I would not cheer for him. I would cheer against him, even if he was on my team.

**** Terrell Owens. And thumbs colossally down to the Cowboys for selling out.

I had it typed out last night that I would rather have a pre-season season ending injury, I just couldn't get myself to type it or wish that on anybody. :)

Well I slept all day and now I feel a little better about it. Jerry and Bill are such big figures in Dallas I think this may actually work. TO should know he cannot upstage them and should have some respect going in for Parcells. Parcells IMO would be one of about 2 or 3 coaches that may be able to control TO.

All in all we are going to be very good this year, At worst we have about 2 years with TO, the contract is for 3 and I would be surprised to see it last that long. I think it lasts as long as Bill is there.

Why are all my teams getting a bunch of nut-jobs?

Being a diehard cowboys fan, my initial reaction was just outrage. I mean, I can only think about the star:mad: , and then I think of teague knocking the crap out of him:D . I am still kind of upset, but like ron artest, I hope the 3rd times a charm.

I think we have a better chance of Ron being a model citizen than Dallas does of keeping TO out of trouble. In Ron's case, he is very immature and child-like. With Owens, you get nothing but a big head who thinks the world revolves around him. Confidence in your ability is one thing (Ron has that). Cockiness is quite another (see TO).

I'm only a casual NFL fan (go Niners) but I find T.O thoroughly entertaining. I look forward to a T.O. filled NFL season.
entertaining indeed. also very volatile and capable of beeing seen as a cancer and can drag teams down depending on his attitude. Owens has great potential, wish he could get his head and ego straight to contribute to a team where his potential could be fully realized.

As much as I like TO, I must say this latest escapade has me rather pissed.

He negotiates his 40-whatever million dollar deal one year, decides it's not enough, runs his mouth to get cut, and what happens?

HE signs another deal that will net him more money over the next three years.

As the saying goes.

Karma's a b*tch.

I'm still laughing about this. As soon as they let Keyshawn go I knew it was coming. I know a lot of Cowboy fans and they're so pissed, I love it:D Next season just got much more interesting. As TO said, get the popcorn ready!
Anyone taking bets on how long this will last?:)

I can't believe people (here and everywhere) are focused on that silly star episode as the bellweather incident.

What? He insulted the star? or the ancient cowboy buriual ground? B.F.D. Much ado about nothing. Pretty funny, actually.

On the other hand, almost nobody is concentraing on the fact that he has been an absolute cancerous a-hole with every single team-mate and coach he has had. He sucks leperous boils off of dog's anuses because of the team-mate he has been, not because of any self aggrandizing publicity stunts.

I despise Jerry Jones and Bill Parcells and the cowboys. I hope TO and the coboys organization bring each other everything they all so richly deserve.

If TO does screw things up he is done. This is his LAST chance IMO, but I highly doubt any other franchise would even think about buying him if he screws up the Cowboys to.

^^ agreed so if we as kings win with Artest are we winning with dignity? I am not comparing the 2 as I think they are totaly different cases but... its a fair question. Actually think Bonzi is more of a TO case then Ron Ron.

I think T.O. will be fine with the right coach, which this seems to be. I hate to compare this situation to ours and Artest, but it is similar.

Personally, I'm glad he went to the NFC. I did not want to see him on the Broncos.

Go Chargers.

This is TO's real last chance to prove himself. I am confident that Parcells can controll him, and if not he will slap him down but I think his work ethic will win Parcells over.

If TO screws up this time he wont get the big contract he wants/desires and its not like he has a lot of NFL life left. He has no choice but to play nice
