Suns/Lakers

why would the lakers bench kobe? they're still trying to make the playoffs. besides the suns have already beaten the lakers at staples by double digits this year. the suns have won all three games against the lakers by a total of 40 points. this game means nothing to the suns.

why would the Lakers bench Kobe? He's their entire franchise. If he gets hurt in a game like this, it would be the most ridiculous injury ever to occur in the entire history of the NBA. Having him out there to pad his stats and get his average is fine (or at least justifiable) - for the first half. If they continue to do it in the second half, I will have to wonder seriously if they've totally lost their collective minds.

hmmm. so sort of the same reason nash isn't playing. and again, the lakers are still trying to MAKE the playoffs!!

so gargamel i ask you how many games you think the lakers will win against phx??

Depends on the first few games. They start off 0-2, it'll be a short series. If they can steal one of the first two, that might give them momentum. If they don't converge on 3 pt shooters like their lives depend on it and don't religiously attack the rim, zero wins.

Retraction:

Please disregard anything I posted in this thread previously. It's pretty clear to me that if the Lakers don't continue to ride Kobe for the remainder of the game, they are - in a word - doomed.

;)

I love the announcers:

"The suns usually a very deep team, but they're all banged up."

And Come this weekend all guys will be miraculously 100%

It's the sun. They get back to Phoenix and they'll be basking in the glory of sunlight...and its miraculous healing properties.

The Phoenix Suns do not give a rat's patoot about what the Kings or their fans want. Why would they?

-------------------------

We want tacos!!!

I like that.

:D

Well....the way the Suns played this whole thing kind of annoys me. That said, it was smart of course, and they are doing it for themselves, not to hurt us, so...whatever. They should have no problem with the Lakers in Rnd 1, and now we get one of the powerhouses barring the Hornets, with nothing to play for, wandering into Staples and beating the Lakers, with a lot to play for, in the final game of the season.

^^ Be happy you're not a Sixer fan. They were probably stewing watching Riles bench Shaq and handing Chicago the berth.

Now I've never had a problem at Taco Bell. However, My son refuses to eat at Burger King after getting sick 3 or 4 times in a row, regardless of what he ordered. (Bit of a slow learner.;) )

8th spot looks like it for the Kings. Wish it was #7, but considering how things looked mid-season, its a remarkable turn around.

I got my 2 free taco coupon at the game vs. the Clippers last week! I don't eat at Jack In The Box though.

Off topic: Jack In The Box is one of my fave fast foods. I'll take those coupons.

On topic: Like Brick said, it had nothing to do with the Kings, but it was just the Sun taking care of the Sun.

I'm hanging my hat on the fact that the Lakers have not won five games in a row all year!! GO HORNETS!!!!!

I loved the comment from the announcers that the fans put more energy into the "We want Tacos" chant than any other chant during the game. Nothing like free tacos on Easter. lol

After having seen the way the Hornets played against us and Phoenix, not holding my breath.

Note also, from an organizational standpoint, Hornets now can happily lose and improve their lottery position.

It looks like the Hornets are now simply playing for the ping-pong balls.
