Kuminga forced things and looked like he won’t produce for a few years while flashing some high upside plays.

Cade’s lack of athleticism and elite handle resulted in him settling for pull ups, step backs, and passes to team mates. His shot looked good on set shots, but was off when shooting on the move. Detroit drafted Hayes last year and now Cade. That’s a long, but really unathletic back court.

Giddey looked good in the mins that he played. Taller than Cade and showed a tight handle. Much more confident in Giddey being able to play the 1 spot than Cade.

Moody went to the right team. GSW will ask him to shoot the three, play within the offense, and defend. His set shot looks good, defense looks average (not elite), a ten year pro.

Bouknight looked a little erratic. Flashed the craft, produced, Charlotte had him playing 1 to 3.

Mobley was quiet.

Kai Jones: less electric, more production off of hustle. Size is legit though.

Best first impressions: Green and Barnes. Then Sengun.
Neutral: Mobley, Bouknight, Moody, Jones
It’s early, but some worry: Cade and Kuminga.
Insufficient: Giddey

Obviously these are just the stats and don't tell the whole story. So far, most of these guy are looking as advertised.

Green looked like a mix of Beal and Lou Williams on offense. He should be a better defender than those guys and will more than likely be a perennial all star.

Suggs impressed me the most. He was just absolutely everywhere.

Jalen Johnson might wind up being the guy who makes us wish he was drafted the most. He needs to fix a lot of things but I love his defense and what he should be able to do on offense with some seasoning.

Moody looks like the guy many of us thought he would be. Unspectacular but puts up numbers.

Davion was solid in the win. Great defense again, shot looked good

Sengun looks as advertised with better defense. Lead his team in plus minus for the second time in 2 games. No turnovers. Flashy drive from the top of the key and high IQ play

Cade showed us the intangibles he is known for. Looks like a 10 year vet directing his teammates and uplifting them. Flashed greatness tonight from my perspective.

Johnson looks like he is 7'5 260 out there. Flippin huge. Good game overall again for him. solid player

Gotta start him on a new habit of not overworking. Have to have good habits to tough through the grueling 82-games season.

I don't know that OKC would have been interested but #9 for #16 & #18 to draft Sengun and Jalen Johnson (two guys I wanted at 9) sure seems like it would have been the best possible move.

The only way Mitchell ends up being the best pick for the Kings is if his defensive intensity helps change the culture of the team. And that's definitely a possibility.

Mitchell relies way too much on the dribble. He is showing his skills at both ends in otherwise solid play.
We can see the emphasis on defense. It is great to see.

I’d argue he hasn’t really been dominating bigs. He has just been making the right play nearly every time. He has gotten a decent amount of his points at the stripe just like he did in Turkey and I don’t see that changing in the NBA. His blocks have been mostly against faster more athletic guards. Agreed. Sengun isn't bullying smaller Summer League bigs. He's doing what he does which is beat guys with footwork, timing, and playmaking. The only thing he really uses his strength for is establishing post position initially and few NBA players are even used to defending that anymore.

One of the reasons I liked Sengun in the draft is that he has a really potent intersection of hoops IQ/playmaking, high motor, and low post scoring. He may not be an all-star (it's certainly possible) but I really don't see him failing in the NBA.

Trading down twice in the 1st is good? "Better deal two days ago" Boogie Cousins trade was good? Trading your failed FA signings was good? Not gaining draft capital for bad contracts one time in 5 year tenure when the team sucked was good?

The Barnes trade was legit good, but that's basically it. Great buy-low opportunity on him that's worked out extraordinarily well.

Beli for a first could again have been a huge win... but it's hard to count it as such when he whiffs so hard on the pick.

I don't count the Bogi trade either because he whiffed so hard on the picks. That could have been a franchise changer had he been able to identify NBA talent. Bogi for a mid-lotto pick is... eh? ok I guess? I don't think anyone would consider that deal right now.
