Solid player. Really only had one year where he was the best player on a "good" team, but a pretty respectable career overall. Was happy to see him get a ring before he retired, even if he wasn't really a key player on that team. Kind of like a poor man's Mitch Richmond.

Didn't he say he would retire about 3 months ago? Maybe it was just a local interview.

They said on the news last night that he had donated a huge amount of money to a school, (can't remember which one). It was one of the largest donations by an individual to an educational institution. Good for him, I wish him well.

..he gave 2.5 million to Michigan State to build an academic center in memory of this mom..

..then he gave 600k to establish a scholarship for students from his old high school to go to Michigan State..
