No, really - I was cruising around Snopes.com today during lunch and ran across this:

I think it's a great idea! I have a "personal" watermelon in my refrigerator right now that would take up significantly less space if it were not so ... round.

Nothing new here... old time farming trick to put small fruit in a glass container and grow it up inside. Gramps thought the funniest thing in the word was to put young cucumber flowers into a coke bottle then in the late summer cut the cuke from the vine and pickle it in the botle.
