Spurs @ Kings Game Thread

I know this is off topic but I really hope that Miami doesn't get one of the 3 top picks this year (even though by the standings they're supposed to get the #1 pick)...And hopefully the greatest basketball spirits can help us out this time and let us get a ping and a pong on our side.

I look forward to piksi's writing, period!

And no--none of us are going to their damned parade, none of us will be yelling MVP when Kobe comes to Arco and no--none of us like the Lakers, so get real here.

I must say, to see a KING'S FAN call us Queens makes me sad!!! Annie.

Yea it makes me sad too, but the state of the franchise is depressing lol. I mean yeah it was a great win vs NO, but the fact that it helped LA makes me want to bang my head against a wall. My cousin who is a lakers fan was at my house saturday cheering for the kings:(

Man, Duncan's scoring on Moore and Hawes like they ain't ****.

The above statement is fifty percent correct.

Finley!

#1 Phoenix - after the Steriod/Suns Medical Staff Scandal of 08/09. Where Nash, Shaq and Grant Hill all mysteriously are able to play 82 games a year again.

#2 Denver - Close to 30 Million invested in a very brittle front line, star just got a DUI and Iverson is not getting any younger.

#3 Dallas - With the Jason Kidd trade, all of a sudden a very old team. Dirk - 30, Dampier -33, Terry - 33, Kidd - 35. No Picks, No Cap space, no tradeable assets unless they trade Kidds Expiring contract.

We also have to hope Portland does not put it together next year and make the playoffs. I almost expect the Spurs to tank next season as well because I don't see how they can put together another run with Duncan/Parker/Manu and the homeless vet squad.
You're a funny guy.

haha John is owning everybody. What are the chances Bowen slips a foot underneath him....
If the Spurs cant beat us, than they dont deserve anything ever. We don't have our three best players and when our starting PG has to sit our offense goes all to hell. Spurs, you have absolutely NO excuse.

After the Spurs got up by a dozen Reggie made a key adjustment in putting Mikki on Duncan who was taking Spencer big time. The Kings got Beno back in the game and Salmons, Garcia and a hot Spence have all got going. Fun game so far.

Their least rested starter has played less minutes than our most rested starter. I suspect they'll coast for a while and then try to kill us later on.

Or in other terms, take us lightly and not be able to pull away when they want to. How many teams have we seen make that mistake?

Hawes

This kid is going to be something else in a couple of years. We have a center who can do everything you could possibly want - shoot the hook shot with either hand, come off freaking screens to shoot a jumper:eek:, do runners:eek:, and 3 pointers, hit guys cross court with left handed bounce passes:eek:. Whoever said that Theus should relegate him to just doing post ups down low was absolutely nuts. Thank God Theus didn't buy into the conventional center myopia. He is going to be by far the best center we've ever had because he is very special - that's unconventional.

Creativefh you shoul put together a season recap that has like all the bad game endings, injuries, and then all the good things and game endings. that would be awesome.

Around the NBA:

And, in other news, the idle Hawks back into the playoffs when the Pacers lost earlier tonight in DC, ending the longest active playoff drought in the league.

Fine work, lads. Clubber Lang, any predictions on what the Hawks can expect in the first round?

Yeah he is showing us quite a lot in this game. I'm really impressed with a 7 footer having the gall to try a runner. lol. Also him coming off of screens is golden. This guy has a real shot to be a great offensive weapon.
