two weak defenders on the starting line-up. Either Bibby or Miller has to be traded after this season. The Kings can't be an elite team with two huge defensive holes.
Couldn't agree anymore. Close to 25 mil on those 2 guys. Somebody's got to go.

Are we watching the same game? Yes, the Spurs are the defending Champs, however, the Kings have proven they can beat the Spurs. Had the Kings shown up like in Games 3 & 4, the Kings would have won. Instead, they had unforced turnovers and missed free throws. I am very disappointed on how the Kings played tonight.

I am not saying that we could not have played better. WE COULD HAVE. However, I am not sure that even our best would have been good enough this season. I just refuse to believe that they did not want to win this game just as much as we wanted them to win it. I remember how we played at the beginning of the season. THAT team would not have made the playoffs in the first place and if my some miracle they had, the Spurs would have swept us. I am BEYOND proud of how they played. I WILL NOT BE CRITICAL OF THEIR HEART OR DESIRE. Maybe I am feeling TOO defensive of them, but I did not see them quit. The Spurs were better than us tonight.

I agree with the Miller part, but not so much with Bibby.

I THINK OUR BIGGEST ISSUE AFTER THE COACHING SITUATION IS BRAD'S SPOT.

Bibby was horrible the whole series especially on defense. He never got it going took gazillion bad shots and turned the ball over, and over, and over. If we had anyone to back him up it would have actually looked worse that it did. He lost the PG matchup big time. Parker owned him like we own Clippers.

Bibby played hurt that whole series. I think he was running out of gas by the end. You can only play so many minutes. He had almost no backup the whole season.

Why Bibby? He played better than quite a few other Kings.

he boasted he wanted to be the leader- thusly the "leader" assunes responsibility for the teams fall

i love bibby- but lets face it- he didnt show- if it wasnt for bonzi and ron- that would have been a sweep

KT and SAR didn't do much but they aren't making 12 millions per year and they were playing against Tim Duncan who is one of the top three players in the NBA.

Tonight Reef had 6 TOs and shot 50% from the FT line. And he didn't have any better a series than Bibby did.

better than who ? sure if You compare him to Hart - he is great but he couldn't be Parker's towel boy. How many big shots did he hit this series. He was awol on the road. Only good thing that I remember is the defensive stop in game 3. He was non factor.

And Bibby had to go against the Spurs MVP this year and quite possibly the best PG in the NBA. And he played hurt the last two games.

okay this is true. reef had one good game and that was game 2. he sucked something awful tonight.

Do you honestly belive there was heart and desire tonight?

bench player.

If You really want to compare Bibby with bench/role players - it is fine. He did better than them. Bibby is supposed to be leader/big time/big shot/ big game performer. I was waiting and waiting and waiting fot him to show up and he just didn't. I did not expect SAR, KT, Hart etc to show up. I expected Bibby.

damnit now people got me into the bashing mood...so after this comment im not posting.

by the way bibby averaged 28.3 ppg against them in the reg season...what did he have this series?

Are you serious? Ask any GM in the league, "Who is the real MVP on the Spurs? " You will hear Tim Duncan 100% of the time. Furthermore, Nash is the MVP of the NBA and he is a point guard. Are you saying that Parker is better than Nash and other experts voted for the wrong guy?

Tony Parker only looked like a MVP because Bibby's defense was horrible. Bibby is similar to Brad in that his weak defense made average players look like allstars and good players look like superstars

Bibby, IMHO, the the ABSOLUTE last on our list of problems.

maybe but maybe not. time will tell. I just don't see Bibby improving defenively enough to matter. Parker is much younget and he isn't going anywhere.

trust me - you don't want to know

1) congrats to the Kings for making it this far - if you told me about this serious a while ago you would have been called crazy.

2) i have found a newfound hate for (in this order): ginobili aka the second coming of vlade, brent barry, and tony parker. Finley we blame for anything regardless

3) sorry but we have no need for brad miller anymore. Frankly, Bonzi is a much better investment at Center.

4) Go Mavs - go Dirk, go Terry and go Howard. The Spurs i dislike more than all of you. However, Mark Cuban is still Mark Cuban.

5) Here's looking forward to the next season - look at last year's end at the hands of Seattle and compare it to right now; what an effort-inspired job we'e done. RA and bonzi, please come back too!:D

I guess losing by 22 points and having 20 TO's is playing with heart and desire. Guess you and I will have to disagree.

I guess we will. I still think that we lost because they were better than us tonight. I also think that given time together, we will be better than them next season.:)

Once Parker beats Bibby off the dribble, he has the green light to drive all the way to the hoop because Brad can't defend in the low post. Bibby is not the biggest problem but the Kings need to find a back-up point guard who can defend or a punishing low post monster like Ben Wallace if they ever want to get past the Spurs.

I did NOT say MVP of the league! And this season, many GMs might very well say Parker was the Spurs MVP as Duncan was hurt for most of the season, not his usual self at all and they still won 63 games. Parker took his game to a whole new level this year.

A point guard who is MVP of the league is greater than a point guard who (according to you) is MVP of a team.

This is a simple logic. It is analogous to a student who has the highest math score in a school district is better than a student who has the highest math score in just one of the schools in the district.

kennadog said:
Allright..would you say top 5, at least?

yes- that is MUCH more reasonable

you gotta consider:

kidd,nash,billups,arenas,bibby,wade (well..more of a SG..but plays alot of point).

but..another thing that has to be admitted...bibby makes other point guards (even scrubs) look damn good...
