Sprewell

Did I miss something or has Sprewell not landed with a team yet? He really screwed himself with all of that feeding his family talk. I wonder if he has enough money to pay his rent without a contract this year. He might have to borrow from some of his NBA friends to get by. Maybe he will have to sell some of his cars and jewelry. I think that we should all feel bad for him.

You're right, English. I'm showing all the compassion to Latrell Sprewell that he deserves:

Even I was thinking about Spree. He must be wondering, if it would have been better if he had stayed with the T'wolves.

I would be interesting to see where he lands up.

Well, the Clippers have no back-up swingmen. He'd be back with his boy Cassell, and would give the Clips a good vet. off the bench. If not possibly already, it'd up their chances of making the playoffs. Would really help their depth also.

Might need to extend the game to 5 quarters though. ;)

Of course the Lakers are still a good possibility to get him also.

Some will sign him eventualy but givne his temrement and advanced age/deterorated play he is no one's first, or probably even second choice.

VF21,

Where did you find that emoticon? I wonder who was thinking to themselves, "I really need to create a toxic fart emoticon to properly express my views online." ;)

Back to the original topic, it seemed like the Nuggets had a passing interest in Spree, but nothing serious.

Last I heard, the Lakers were giving him some consideration, but it would appear that the conversation has dried up. Last I heard, LA was looking to add another big man if anything.

I doubt the Clippers would spend the money to bring him in. Besides, with Cassell and Mobley as the likely starters, they probably want to have as many minutes available to develop Livingston as possible. And their draft pick Karolev, will likely take all the back up small forward minutes.

The sad part is that it isn't Sprewell's dumb comments, his money demands or even his cancerous personality that is finding him without work. It's his rapidly declining skills. I'd like to credit GMs with not gambling on a guy who seems to disrupt team chemistry, but the fact is that Sprewell could do and say almost anything, if he was the same player as he was five years ago.

The Nuggs are already stacked with SG/SF anyways ('Melo/Buckner/Lenard/DJ/Hodge (I hope he gets his chances and can make his way up to back-up or #3)/Boykins)

Yeah the Lakers talk hasn't been around since Sept. But it's still a good possibility because of their roster.
