Sonics Press Release - The Seattle SuperSonics today signed 7-0 center Mikki Moore, Sonics General Manager Rick Sund announced. As per team policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

“We’re pleased to have Mikki in a Sonics uniform,” said Sund. “Mikki’s length and his ability to run the floor complements the Sonics’ style of play and gives us added depth at both the center and forward positions.”

Last season, Moore’s eighth in the NBA, he appeared in 74 games with the L.A. Clippers, averaging 5.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 15.9 minutes. He shot 50.2 percent from the floor and 78.7 percent from the foul line. Moore started four games and scored in double figures on 17 occasions, including a career-high 18 points in two separate games. Moore recorded a career-high 14 rebounds vs. the L.A. Lakers last season on Dec. 11, 2004.

He seems like a decent player, just has lacked the minutes, maybe an injury or two as well. Wouldn't of minded him backing up Brad either, though is kinda undersized for the center spot (mass). But is a back-up, so. Nice pick-up for the Sonics.

Does this mean they won't try to re-sign Evans? A three team deal: Kings S&T Songaila to the Bulls. The Bulls send Piatkowski to the Sonics. We get Evans. Wishful thinking?

Because it involves the Sonics doings. It's just a little thing I add on to a word occasionally, like in a joking manner or something. :P

any S&T with songaila is most likely wishful thinking- he'll go there anyway, why would the bulls trade something to get him when they don't have to? Barring of course, them being in cost-cutting mode, which I don't think they are, and even then this would be a negligible salary, with them not even being over the cap and all. Any deal would be just giving away talent for free, which I don't think Chi-town is any mood to do right now.

Looks like JJ's replacement to me.

It's frustrating with the lack of news on Reggie though and shocking more teams havn't shown interest. Meanwhile Vlad continues to overvalue himself or at least his agent does.

...because Darius is a Restricted Free Agent and the Bulls fear that Sacramento might match an offer. If we can convince them that is a possibility and that we would not match if we could get a draft pick then at least we are not letting him get away without getting something in return.

The only problem with that logic, 6th, is we don't have the money to match any offers the Bulls might make to Darius.

If the offer is small enough, the team may think it wise to take a short term loss in order to gain a "cheap" asset.

However, I agree, matching a $2.2 million offer costing $4.4 million total for a player that right now wouldn't get any minutes is .......................

Aside from the Sonics, I've only heard the T'Wolves having interest, and the 76ers awhile back. That's it. I think he should stay in Seattle out of the three teams, he'd get the most PT there.
