I had no idea that there are people here that know what they talking about when it comes to home theaters. I know a bit after researching for my current system that I installed a little less that 1 year ago. It is a lot of fun learning and hope that I can talk more about here. I do not want to hijack the speaker thread.

First question: does anyone know where you can get a demo DVD to show off the system to people, such as a demo with Dolby Digital trailers, THX trailers and action scenes from big movies?

Mods: could you please spell "since" correctly for me? - thanks

A couple places to start! Let me know what you find with further digging, too. I might be interested in getting something similar if you come up with something good....

And here is a forum post that tells you about a website to download trailers to burn onto a disk to play.

Are you on the AVS forums?

PM the user swithey to get the ftp info for his demo discs. Really good stuff.

Thanks for helping me out with this. I did just as you recommended and things have worked out nicely. I now have 2 demo DVD's and plan to burn 1-2 more. I had to learn a few new things along the way to get it down, but it is always fun to learn new things. Thanks again.

Warhawk: If you are interested in getting a Demo DVD or two I would recommend giving this a try. You certainly cannot beat the price. :)
