Silly question...

I got this mosquito in my bedroom, and I missed it when trying to swat it..

It brought me to this question I had been wanting to have answered about mosquitoes..

What is the difference between the mosquitoes that have the bent legs and are close to the ground, and the ones that stand on their tippy toes and stand tall? Do both bite?

While I don't know the answer to your question, I do think this shows one thing - you need to get out more.

;)

The main difference is that the variety that stands on its tippy-toes has a few millimeters extra reach when they try to bite you.

I do know that only the females bite. Course, I haven't bothered to check this personally ;).

I'm married. I can vouch for the fact that the females are meaner than the males in most species. :p

And honey, if you do happen to read this, I was just kidding.... ;)
