Whether it's Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Joyous Kwanzaa or Season's Greetings, share your greetings here!

I'll start:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Please feel free to post your greetings, and if you post them in another language, include what it is.

:D

This remarkable au maluhia, or season of peace, is more than a ritual birthday commemoration, for it touches those of all different theologies and extends far beyond a particular holiday or block of the calendar. It's more of a mindset, a spirit that pervades the things we do, the ways we do them, and the people we reach out to and surround ourselves with.

The season is embodied in smiles that well up in the heard and bloom forth on the faces of children and grownups alike. Good will unfurls in our homes and neighborhoods as festive decorations and twinkling lights are put in place with no other purpose than to delight friends and passer-by. Presents, wrapped, ribboned, and offered up with joy, are mere manifestations of the smiles and good feelings within.

The sounds of the season generate a random chorus of giggles and laughter, hearty greetings and warm welcomes. These happy sounds all mix in with the songs of the season like an extended carol whose refrain goes on through the year's end and into the year's renewal.

It brings renewal for us all, along with the affirmation of the love that we share with our own and those beyond. The care and compassion are in the fabric of our everyday lives, but the become more apparent, to ourselves and others, during the wonderful season of joy. The affirmation is important, for it is the love we share that makes it all worthwhile.

He aloha kanaka I ke au maluhia.
We share love in the season of peace.

It's Chinese. It literally means "happy holy birthday", and it's the Chinese (Cantonese) equivalent of Merry X'mas. :D

Merry Christmas

THE REFLECTION OF CHRISTMAS

the difference in length of the circumference of the world
He was born into as a child is now so sizable that it's relevant
and i am learning to sit on the back steps of forever
and never look at the same pieces of "in front of me" more than once
i guess it's a slide projector perspective, if you will
and where does that get me?
that's right, back in bed when i was six
and everything was carpets and the toys i threw on them
but i made myself an adult's life
and found my Lord's forehead wrinkles to be
the comfort i was seeking all along
but where did His childhood go?
well, it's simple...
He wasn't born meek and mild
and he certainly wasn't born fat jolly and red
so let's get that bull**** outta the way right now
and consider the following:
from 1 to 33 there's little in the way of those same pieces
of "in front of me" and you can bet all the bags of silver sitting
on the bottom of the ocean that revolution doesn't begin at birth
it takes cutting grass and getting a little martyr-ific
so yeah, i guess that would be the first slide
but click, shoot, rotate,
and the most important occurences are the ones done in memory
where i appreciate more of what i choose to make the distant callings
of an adult's life sweating it out with the rest of them
and really all i'm talking about is a reason to love
and when people look at me like "what's love got to do with it?"
all i can say is "He came to love, so i've come to love."

much love everybody... i hope you all have wonderful christmas eves and christmas days, and whether or not you share the beliefs held in the short poem above, please remember to be good to each other.
